I don't think Origin is that bad. I actually like the songs Lies and Field of Innocence and Eternal. I pretty much like all their songs :3

Origin is an awesome album, I also like Not For Your Ears, and Sound Asleep EP, There are a couple other ones as well, but their names escape me. Personally, I would love to hear them do "Even In Death", or "Anywhere", and "Breath No More", but as an actual single not just live. I love those songs, I could go on about all of them on these early releases, but I would not call any of it crap. Being a singer/songwriter myself, I love to hear how they've changed, and how the songs grew.

@fahkuroo Not for your ears is NOT an evanescence album. It's a compilation made in the first year of Fallen by some random dude that for some reason became famous because it collected a handful of their B-sides and earlier songs. But it's not an official album. It's a compilation like any other, only with a fancy cover.

Thanks for the upload. I have NEVER EVER heard her actually speak about Origin. That was so cool, that she talked about it. However it's not crap, I love their older songs better. I feel so good when I listen to their older songs.

I honestly wish she would put some of those songs on future albums. Origin is an amazing album (or not-album??) and is one of my favorites. It does not sound like crap in the least.

I think the sound of Origin is very interesting. Some songs sound are so deep and pure...sometimes you think there is only you and Amy's beautiful voice. They should do more stuff like that. :)

I beg to differ. Origin doesn't sound like "crap." It's genius! Everything else the band put out AFTERWARD sounds like crap... to me anyway. But what can I say?? I 'm a neoclassical darkwave junkie xD

i actually saw this interview on Much Music Argentina, i also already know that Origin wasnt an album, if you pay atention, you can hear a sound less complex than in a real studio album, so, it just wasnt right call it an album (but i think if they re-edit the songs could be a really good album :D )

Amy is my favourite singer.. I follow you since 2003 and I can exprime my mind about her music..I think that Evanescence are simply fantastic because their music is unique. Every album that they realeased have something of speacial..and demos as well!

Every CD of Evanescence is unique. The demos are more accoustic, Fallen is more like a cry for help, like in the songs Bring Me To Life, Tourniquet, and Haunted. The Open Door has a different sound, including giutar and vocal. The open Door is more of a liberating sound, like a reply 2 Fallen

I agree that The Open Door is definitely not crap... you'd have to be deaf or musically retarded to think so. But Origin is a great CD too and I'm glad to hear that remakes of those songs are still being considered.

I found "Origin" far better than any of their albums released so far. Amy never "yelled." Instead she sang so softly and prettily.

I like the open door so much more than origin. The music is better, and the lyrics as well. You can really hear that they have grown. So don't call it crap. You can say you don't like it, but it's not crap. I personally think it's the best music they've ever made..
