    and you train fast twitch muscle by lifting heavy weights. you recruit all muscle fibers that way, so also fast twitch. 

  • this actually works i trained like this for college football with that type of resistance but higher intensity. It really does work.  I dropped .5 secs of my 50 yard sprint

  • by adding resistance i do believe your strengthening your muscles to be ready for tension persay a guy holding on to your arm. a guy pushing you back. with resistance like this you can take off stronger and also be ready or anything like being forced back so mainly balence is a key in this work out/training

  • I think it is because these forms of resistance work your fast twitch muscles which you normally don't workout that much, i think it's a bit like isometrics.

  • if i dont have a ladder could i put tape on the ground instead?

  • whatever challenges you, you don't need to literally use a ladder just make the necessary space that's right for you
