This car was tuned @ Hybridynamics in Derry PA near me... Love to see some fast and crazy builds putting the Pittsburgh area on the map!... BTW the G23 does have good torque but doesnt hold it all the way to red line, still nice though.
@steelcityracer1320 being NA it does run out of air. Last G23 dyno I went to was an OEM part build and it peaked @ 172 tq. On WOT it stayed above the 150 tq range
how about normal F23 rods? dont ever do bolis build, check out piratemcfred on honda tech and he has good shit, the only thing you need internals wise, is h22 floating wrist pin pistons, and a h22 complete head. all that will net you 206hp and 175tq. huge torque from 2000rpm all the way till redline
@lascrucez .. frankenstein means to take a head from one engine and slap it on a block of another engine to get different results due to air intake of the head which helps the overall efficiency of a car..
ok i hear of everyone using the f23 block. what would the diffrence be if i used the h23 block? im just curious cause there are no f23's around where im located at. thnx.
You can still make more power and torque by making a G style setup with spare car parts, + a couple new items than doing an entire K swap. In most cases. Personally Id get a F23, boost it and throw the blocks away as I destroy them :) With proper tuning 300WHP is easy to get out of a F23T
its a f23 block with a h22a head, thats my next project but without the k20 pistons that boost the compression to 11 i want it to stay at 8 for turbo power
I'm fairly familiar with all B/H/F/K series blocks, but a G23? Could someone enlighten me? I know a H2B is apparently a H motor, with a B series tranny, if im not mistaken. Whats a G23?
That article is crap....this motor is now built with ITB's and Skunk2 Stg 3 cams and thats where the import tuner issue got its numbers....and the numbers for the K was a stock k20, not a "built tuned" k24 like the article claims. Dont get me wrong, this is a bad ass setup, but the article in import tuned is WAY biased...
reagrdless the price of a "built and tuned k20/k24" can read in excess of 10-12k in motor and modifications alone, not to mention install and any custom fab work. why do all that when you can spend around half of that for this swap?
You can piece together a k24 setup for way cheaper than the 10-12k that you are claiming and you'll make 300+ whp...but I dont want this to turn into a K vs H argument. Like I said before, this is a bad ass setup and car but I wish import tuner was more realistic about their claims, thats all....
yeah I was just thinking that.. I mean a built k24 that only produces 159lbs or torque? LOL while the g23 is a whoping 181lbs?? it made me laugh so hard.. I mean the k24 is 2.4 vs the 2.3 liters giving it an advantage in torque.. very amusing for the article to make such claims..
i want that

b16a2allmotor 1 year ago
will the b16 tranny bolt right up to the f23 or is the adapter plat an absolute must?
crxthrasher 1 year ago
@crxthrasher Yeah, it's just how it is. F mount up to H, and it's H or B. B mates up to B, but not to F or H without the adapter plate.

hey, that sounds like a high redline. from what i understand, the G tops out around 62-6500, and that sounded like it went all the way to 8

When putting the k series pistons in a f22 what all needs to be done? Just bored to 86mm thats it?

f22 block with a h22 head.... somehow it fits.... i read in the magazine it makes 250 hp stock..... using k20 pistons cuhz they fit in the f series

more horse and torque than k20 or k24. this car is featured in IMPORT TUNER December 2008 issue. Look for it. Half the cost of a k20/24 swap. sickkk!
