@QueenBeatlesWings No it isn't. This is the basic backing track for Ram's version. Missing strings and vocals. The version you mean was a rough pass with just a piano.
I was thinking the same damn thing! Havent yet seen the setlist for Mexico 1 but just a slim chance, this would be the greatest encore Mexico City ever saw tonight!!!!!
I don't think this is an early take as much as it is the finished track without vocals or strings. The piano, drums, guitar, etc. that we hear here sounds EXACTLY like what's on the finished result. Is anyone else here of the same opinion?
@supermd4589 the bass line stands out more as well as the drums being a bit different. many "early takes' of Paul's were basically mostly finished products.
Where do people get this stuff? This is great! What we need is for Paul's body of work to be treated like Dylan's, or the Beatles, and have all of the demos, backing tracks, alternate mixes etc. circulating in bootleg put out in proper "Anthology" type albums with full annotation etc. The man is a genius. Thanks for putting this up!
Yes, too right! Here here! I'll second that! "Back Seat Of My Car" could /should have been a big hit I wonder what it was about this song that made it so hard to "sell" Was it too soon after the disbanding of The Beatles, perhaps? Thank you greatly for sharing this excellent music
@ufothe3 Back Seat Of My Car WAS a hit - in the U.K. and Europe. Paul was still reluctant about releasing singles from albums. The Beatles never did (except for their movie soundtracks) until Alan Klein pulled two Abbey Road songs to be a double A side single. He knew he made a BIG mistake in not releasing "Maybe I'm Amazed" from the McCartney LP as a single. So he agreed to have ONE single from Ram. "Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey" in North America and "Back Street" in the U.K. and Europe.
I have problems believing it is an early take rather than the completed backing track for the published version - I feel I can hear at 3:41 the McCartney improvised vocal?
Very Good but its only the "Backing track", like the way you took vocals off

This is not an early take. It's the basic track for the song. Piano, bass, guitar.

This is not an early take, it is the album version with most of the instruments and overdubs taken out, just the basic track.

Thank you very much for this post.
Man how can I describe how beautiful is this arrange!!!
Beyond the song writer, beyond the performer, beyond
the poet, there is the musician. I can really have a small
taste of that enormous creativity. B E A U T I F U L !!!!!!!!!!!

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Paul is only melody, so it's not neccesary to get different demos becasue the melody is the same.

Thanks for the Beatles history lesson. This album is the best, along with Band on the Run, that McCartney did in the 70's.
