    * hair grows sooooooo good in the winter *

& from a lot of flat ironing my hair.

& from my old cotton scarf. Now i'm using

silk scarf and stop flat ironing and keeping

moisture in my hair and TRIM my ends! I hope my

    hair grows back!

  • @NiKKiBSEXCii i also hope it will grow back, good luck to you

  • @nunaavane it has :D! Thanks :)

  • Also tight cornrows on the edges temple and nape can cause breakage and alopecia. WATCH OUT

  • salut Nunaa

  • @nunaavane ok thanks miss ;p

  • how do you know if you have to much protein?

  • @rut726 if the hair breaks too easily when you gently hold and pull it from 1 end to the other, or if when you style/comb you have several pieces of broken hair in the sink

  • thanks, nunaa =)

  • Are micros a protective style? and im having breakage at the nape, any tips??Please&Thank you & Great video!!:)

  • @MsBaconluv micros are what got my edges to go like forever ! they damaged my edges so bad, because they were putting too much tension on this fine area...that i will NEVER advise them as a protective style... But if you have strong hair go for them :-)

  • @nunaavane Thanks for the advice!

  • thumbs up if u watched the whole video

  • @boobabyboo2 thumbs up i recorded the whole video ! hahahahahaha

  • @nunaavane lol kudos

  • i hav a perm and i want to color my but with semi permanent hair color the brand is called manic panic and its made out of vegan and ive research the hair dye but i wasnt sure if it would be safe on permed hair i need help

    pleaseee answer >.<

  • @TheBubi97 i absolutely didn't understand your question! sorry, you want to color but....???

  • I think my recent perm/relaxer is the cause of some of my hair shedding/breakage when I comb out my ends/hair I see some hairs falling and in my comb. I am protein sensitive but have just recently purchased the argan oil mask conditioner do you think it is a good idea to use this to put some strength back into my roots? thank you so much for this vid :0)

  • @naliepooh1 no pb dear, i really don't know about this product, either it is a protein / strengthening product... Try to look for it on YT & pls let me know ok? i wish you all the best

  • Hello nunaavane, I just started my hair journey this month, thanks to you and your information. I will do a breakage and shedding challenge for 2 months. I applied the evoo, vit. e and rosemary hot oil treatment tonight. Is it ok to wash with jbco shampoo tomorrow or just wash out with conditioner? I am also planning on dc with kera care humecto

  • @princess4163 hi girl, i think i answered on my blog :-)

  • So informative...love watching your videos :)

  • thanks so much for this video; hey nunaavane, if possible can you do a video with your daily regimen. for example: On Mondays you do... tuesdays.. etc plzzz. thanks chick. as this would provide me and others help on building a regimen, thanks.

  • @luvglam1 lool, i have it already, please watch "my hair routine" video :-)

  • Thanks a looooooot for this video. Very helpful. what about aphogee 2 step protein?Do u still use it? or Does it stop hair breakage? Please answer me because i ve been suffering from hair breakage for ages .Love u baby girl

  • @yebelavision hi there, sorry it took me so long to answer, i am in the last finals of my year...

i dont use the aphogee 2 step anymore bcz i found lighter ways to add protein to my hair but yes it stops the breakage :-)

    tks for the love

  • Love this video sweetie, how come I hadn't seen it before? lol Kisses

  • @titemanouchette thanks so much sis, i can't wait to be in my new place, done with exams and do more vids :-)

  • Dont color-----but my hair breaks if I go too long without relaxing, my hair gets extremely tangled and breaks.

  • @mattylabendecida yes so if it breaks maybe it's time to relax, if you don't it might break more...

  • All your vids are great! thanksss! what is the song/beat you always play in the beginning of your videos?

  • @live42dayk1 thank you so much girl, pls check out info box :-)

  • i love you!! and i've only watched on video = ] lol this is very helpful, thank you!!

  • @summerskiss88 omg ! lol, well thank you so much :-)

  • i have a serious problem. i relaxed my hair back in june and i am going to relax my hair again in june because i go to school and i do not have time. i do not really take care of my hair that much, so i realized this today that all my permed hair in one section broke off and all that is left is my new growth. i am scared that if i wait till june all my relaxed hair will brake off is there something i can do. and if i wait till june and relax my hair will it brake more

  • @aimesunstar when you stretch too long, hair breaks off to the demarcation line : what you have to do is either relax to avoid having to cut it all off, or wear protective styles such as cornrows to avoid touching your hair

A lot of moisture is needed at that moment, along with good deep conditioners

now I PERSONALLY would have relaxed, it is only engaging me :-)

  • @nunaavane thx i want to relax it is just that i fix weave to school and my hair is not long so it is hard to style ,while thank you

  • @aimesunstar you're welcome :-)

  • Nuna, I relaxed 1 week ago with the lye ORS relaxler, I had stretched 6 months, and after relaxing I strted shedding. I have been using coconut oil daily, and did an Aphogee 2 min treatment and I see a difference immediately.

  • i am def going to do that : a protein treatment & seal with coconut oil for the next week, tks so much

  • Very helpful info! Just curious, what country are you from originally? You look kind of east African but sound like you speak French

  • lool, tks a lot

pls check out my video "FAQ video" in the info box to know more about me :-)

  • Awesome video Nuna!! One of your best yet. Awesome.

  • thanks so much girl :-)

  • thank ..henna and coconut leave my hair dry anf puff... the way you mix oil and mash the avocado..i have a question ..do you know how to cook...maybe one day you can make a video of your culture food.i would like to see that vid....thank for the reply the name of your perfume...

  • hi there, lol, tks

well i have this question asked a lot ! i can't do it for the moment, maybe sometimes this year, i will ! promised :-)

  • It's me again (smile). I also wanted to add that stretching can cause shedding and breakage too, based upon the difference between the strengths of the new growth and the relaxed hair (called the line of demarcation I think). There should be minimal manipulation/combing of hair at the point of demarcation, This is a weak point in the hair stand. People should be sure to use a good detangling conditioner and detangling leave-in conditioner during long stretches. Especially, with fine hair.

  • tks a lot, i completely agree when it comes to split ends...but at this point i am not even stretching... i usually start to stretch at 10 to 12 weeks post...

this is why i believe my breakage here comes from my latest relaxer, i didn't protect the hair strands when i relaxed...

anyways i just love ur comments :-) tks

  • Hey Nunaa, I just wanted to add something to your comments on breakage/shedding. We forget how dangerous split ends or damaged ends can be to the hair shaft. Spilt ends progress up the length of the hair shaft if not trimmed. This weakens the hair and results in breakage and the loss of much more length than would have been lost with a routine trim. It may not be necessary to trim every six weeks, but ends should be evaluated and trimmed if indicated at least every 2-3 months or so.

  • But Nunaa remember in your last relaxer video you put the perm over your texlaxed hair! This is a classic case of the two chemicals reacting against each other!!! and the outcome is; breakage! horror!!!

  • omg ! ! yes so right ! ! ! ! ok so what should i do : for ex, if i want to get rid of the texlax texture, is there something to do?

i just ask, cause i think i will grow it all but just to know

    tks a lot ! !

  • Bon Soir Nunaa! I've just finished reading Ultra Black Hair Growth II by Cathy Howse, if u haven't read this book I recommend it as she has been on a hair journey for over 10 years. I found out about it from another youtuber; Kimmaytube. Her approach to hair growth is common sense, She warns against mixing chemicals/ relaxers. I honestly don't know how u can get rid of the texlax texture if u still have it after relaxr!

As for breakage; she recommends protein as treatment for breakage.

    GBU : )

  • i have it ! looove this book (well i have n2)

  • cool :-)

    mci de l'info

  • Also using fresh garlic crushed or sliced into some EVOO helps for shedding and breakage. Let the garlic and EVOO infuse overnight and the next day put it on the hair and leave on to your discretion. Be sure to strain before use so you won't have bits of garlic left in your hair. Good luck and God bless.

  • yes that is exactly what i show in my video on Shedding, def check this one out :-)

tks a lot & have a good one

    be safe

  • Great tips,

I experience breakage, right after I relax(that is why I decided to relax only twice a year)

When I used direct heat(I flat iron only 1 a month, but I am working on doing it less then that)

and when I do too much manip, I love playin in my hair, and combing etc..and I am working on that.

I am starting a new INDIAN REGIMEN for the next 3 month, I am watching all youre indian powder video and doing some personel research so that I can have a good routine.

    Thnaks for the information.

  • yaaay ! that's what i like to read ! you go girl ! you'll see great growth & strength in your hair with the indian products :-)

  • Great tips Nunaa..I need to do a hot oil treatment also.I aslo need to cut my ends.

  • sooooooo informative! thank you so much for this!! Nunaa you should try to get the tub of humecto!!

  • i know but so expensive here in France ! looool, tks a lot girl :-)

  • Great video. Thanks. My hair has been so dry this winter, so this video definitely may help me.

  • i am glad i can be of any help :-)

  • comment dire? :D je kiff tes clip vidéos.

  • loool, alors c tres bien dit :-)

  • hair breakage can also be caused by split ends, friction on your clothes and daily wear and tear can cause this, that litterally can not be helped. i was non believer of trimming, but i am no longer scared to do so.

  • lol, tks so much for sharing girl :-)

  • Hey, girl u this vid was on time. I just noticed that my hair was starting to break some and shedding and was not sure what to do. Thank You!!

  • you're more than welcome :-) hope you'll be fine soon :-)

  • yes i am soo joining the fighting breakage problem challenge:))) im. going to get started today w/ a hot oil treatment and your avocado homeade remedy mix...also from your experience do you consider the avocado mix to be a "hard" protein or do you think it would be ok to do it every wk/also do you apply it to wet or dry hair?TIA

  • hey girl, first tks for joining us :-)

the avocado is a light protein, you def want to do it & alternate 1 week the avocado, 1 week a moisturizing DC, that way you'll be safe :-)

i apply it on dry hair, but you an also try on slightly dampened hair :-)

  • I had breakage problems in my first year of my hair journey. I had moisture overlaod. My hair was soooo weak , just by running fingers trough my hair i would break. It's not an easy thing to do to control protein and moisture. I have shedding at the beggining at every new season. Great vid! Very informative

    -Nina-

  • tks nina, breakage is harder to fight to my opinion, but i really don't like any of these hair issues, lol

  • Coconut Oil acts as a protein on the hair...So maybe thats why you get that hard feeling. Too much protein.

  • this is it ! ! tks so much girl

  • Do you ever use the ORS Hair Mayonnaise for breakage? I'm not really sure whether my hair needs more protein or moisture so i have been alternating conditioners every week. 1 week protein, 1 week, moisturizing.. etc. Thanks for the tips : )

  • that's exactly what to do ! ! you are right

and yes i use ORS but not "specially" for the breakage, just as a light protein :-)

    tks for sharing girl

! ! mci du soutien :-)

    bisous

  • Hey Nu, my aunt doesn't like coconut oil either, because her hair structure is very thin and it can break her hair. I think it depends how much time you leave it in your hair. I have been using it for a while and I don't hate it. I am pleased with it. Thanks for this wonderful video. You have become my internet sis that I have never met.Mwuaa

  • thanks nunaa, I think moisture overload is my problem,no shedding but little breakage here and there. the coconut oil issue ,well I think i was using waaaaay to much, plus I heard it has protein in it. I was beginning to worry why this is happening with all the moisture I put on, now I know, to much of it. Thankyou for this information.favorited.

  • tks for favoriting girl, lol, i am really happy to be of any help :-)

  • Very Informative...Great video

  • thank you sweet

  • Nuna, thanks for all the great information !! I really needed more in site on this product... my hair is so fine and thin texture like yours that I get scared when I see hairs coming out lol.. but I know some shedding is natural!! Thanks again for the video Love it ^^

  • yes girl, some shedding is very natural...if it is too long, def go to a specialist ok?

    mwaaah

  • great tips, my favs are evoo and honey..and i was curious, how did you learn english? you live in france and you're speaking it perfectly!

  • Hi Nuna! Coconut oil works better in higher temperature climates. If you use in a dry and colder weather, the coconut oil will react and harden in your hair, making it feel very hard. Best to use it in the summer

  • thanks sooooo much ! ! ooooh ! i have my answer ! ! ! thank you girl ! ! !

  • good video i like ur scarf

  • thank you :-)

  • Great video darling!

  • thank you holmique :-)

  • hey nuna,

Great video. I definetly agree with you about honey. last week was my first time using it and I definitly continue using it.

also, something that it said to help with breakage is hair steamers. they help the conditioner prenetrate more the hair. I am planning on getting one but they are very expensive. but people online say it's a good investment.

  • yes ! ! i want one sooo bad ! i hope i will buy one by the end of this month :-)

it def is a great investment, my girl simsim has one, & it is helping her with her stretch sooo well to keep ng soft ! i have to have one ! looool

  • if you decide to order it online, please let me know the website you used.

    thx

  • There's a girl on YT that shows a different way to do the steam process....check her out: misstyniecolors.

  • yes I have seen it.

I ll use this technique in the short run but I have to get a hair steamer lol !!!

  • coconut oil leaves my hair hard too..i jus use it as a dc now then rinse (:great pointers!!

  • lol, tks girl :-)

  • i love the silk elements moisturizing treatment...does wonders for my hair

  • me too ! lool

  • Nunaa, you are just great. Thanks for the tips as usual. I am learning a lot from you.

  • you're more than welcome girl :-)

  • Very Very Very informative thank you so much i really have to get back on my hair care journey cuz i had to cut my hair and although i like the style im ready for my hair to grow back out so i can use my own natural hair in protective styles such as bun or braidout or twist outs.. thank you so much i have to write down my regimen.. much love..

  • tks so much to you, you are keeping me motivated :-)

    have a great hair journey

  • thanx for this information i thought that stress could cause shedding i did not know that it could cause breakage as well so a remedy for that would be exercise ...also does dirt break the hair?...like too much product, dust on the hair

  • well i never thought about dirt as a reason for breakage, but now that u mention it, it seems logical to me...

  • Great video!!! i'm on board to do this with you, since i relaxed my hair last month i've experience breakage also. I haven't tried the henna yet but i'll see if i can find it here.

  • yaaay ! welcome girl to my fighting breakage challenge

  • Love the vid just gotta say ceteryl alcohol is a conditioner (fatty acid) and isn't a "drying agent," It has no pure alcohol properties it only has part s of its molecular structure. its actually very good for your hair

  • really???? no this is good to know, have to mention it in the video :-)

    tks a lot
