I like cats- they're cute, they can be affectionate and each has its own individual personality. However they are also an invasive species which is very efficient at killing and this many in one place can only have a devastating effect on the local wildlife.

Just discovered Caboodle Ranch thanks to a friend. What a wonderful place. The Caboodle website has great pictures, tells you how to donate. Will follow the site for fun updates.
The ranch runs soley on donations being a non profit charity organization. Originaly he had put all the money he had from his business into the land to establish the ranch and the grounds. Doughnut time is a special time where the cats gather with Craig and take a break from the days chores. He hads out Pounce treats to them as he eats his doughnuts, so they all enjoy a snack :-) Its a magical place filled with love and a saf haven for these previously abandoned cats.
Craig has strict requirements for entry to the ranch: having all their shots updated and to be spayed and neutered, tested for feline Leukemia. A couple of misquotes that started with the video; it is a 30 acre ranch not 100 acres, but the area itself is in the middle of 100 acres or rural woods, and Craig has around 220 cats at the ranch.
Wonderful to see another person in love with cats. I would do the same if I had enough money. I ask what Grant does for shelter in the winter (I understand he does not live in California), and what happens when something happens to him. Betty, Italy

The other night we saw a brindle cat, its mate,and their kittens, orange and brindle. I wanted a kitten real bad. But we couldn't break up their little family, could we? Even though we stopped because one was in the street.Really we have enough cats. also a black lab dog.

BTW, the only cat mafia is the southern Ontario Begal breeder's who steal and hide cats and THEN slander the very person they stole from. If that man lived in Noway, they'd all freeze to death. He would be forced to enclose them. Ask Mule about keeping the stolen cats in CARRIERS to separate them.
All my cats but one are rescues. If I could, I would have more. I don't want to live with an old man, although I admire this guy. He is like St. Francis of Assisi. I heard some things about cats kept in little cages and having the hose turned on them to remove them from the enclosure that leads to the outdoor cage once.

I think it's wonderful that this man does this for them. But I have 2 questions:
1-What happens to them when he passes away?
2-Are they all spay & neutered?
I believe his purpose is to help HOMELESS cats have a good life...not to create more.
I see a lot of kittens in some of the videos & worry that they were born there. That would defeat the purpose of his work.
There are vets that offer FREE or cheaper spay & nueter services in these cases.
I hope he looks into that.

There is another guy in Norway, who runs a cat farm. But he keeps his cats in wire cages.

The other night we saw a brindle cat, its mate,and their kittens, orange and brindle. I wanted a kitten real bad. But we couldn't break up their little family, could we? Even though we stopped because one was in the street.Really we have enough cats. also a black lab dog.

WOW. I just checked the website...and they ARE all neutered/spayed. I wish the video would talk about that - it's one of the most important parts of making sure the numbers of unwanted cats doesn't grow. Good for him!

Smurf, I was sincere. If your heart lies in that direction, to help cats, you should consider finding a way to do that. The lovely man will need more help as he ages.
BTW, the only cat mafia is the southern Ontario Begal breeder's who steal and hide cats and THEN slander the very person they stole from. If that man lived in Noway, they'd all freeze to death. He would be forced to enclose them. Ask Mule about keeping the stolen cats in CARRIERS to separate them.

All my cats but one are rescues. If I could, I would have more. I don't want to live with an old man, although I admire this guy. He is like St. Francis of Assisi. I heard some things about cats kept in little cages and having the hose turned on them to remove them from the enclosure that leads to the outdoor cage once.
