First off, I would like to say that I am a Muslim American. I have allowed my children to go to Halloween under my supervision. I have no problem with them enjoying their childhood. I do check for gelatin and glycerin in the candy. Hallow's Eve and Halloween have grown apart. You may see it as confusion, but in reality it is just a new "ritual". It is just a day to have fun with friends and have some candy. Children are not participating in any Haram practices at school either. It is fine by me.

well halloween itself is a tradition that originated in england where people used to dress up to scare away evil spirits so I dont believe that is evil.

Its important for children to know the truth if a little child is told about evil spirit then that child will believe in that this may affect him/her in their life time. Prophet Mohammed may peace and blessing of Allah be upon him said every religion has their festival and Eid is your festival so lets make Eid special for the children this eid which is in one weeks time
