  • what a little bitch

  • please watch my ron paul video

    /watch?v=9rVm1IRu-XQ

  • The Psychophysiology Lab and Biofeedback Clinic at ECU uses biofeedback and psychophysiology to help Americas wounded warriors heal the emotional wounds of war.

The AAPB presented a TeleSeminar on PTSD. The 90-minute presentation on “The Central Autonomic Network and Combat PTSD: Assessment and Intervention” was given by Dr. Carmen Russoniello, himself a former Marine machine gunner and decorated Vietnam combat veteran. ww.youtube.com/watch?v=kDlKRA_vURk

  • I can't believe some people actually think soldiers deserve ptsd 'you knew wat u was getting into' that's outrageous. the fact is war is inhumane. to anyone suffering i think you're the bravest u.s and u.k have to offer. i wish i could help.

  • Yeah I am kind of sympathetic - but all the non thinking Americans pay no attention to the past - with all the other fuckups - being the lie of all the wars the USA has perpetrated onto other people in their own countries against their own governments, and all the "poor vets" come back all fucked up - and then the next batch of idiots get swept up in all the bullshit and after invading other countries, they too come back fucked up....

Did you ever say NO? So why complain?

  • @callmeshane303 Afghanistan didn't have anything that even resembled a government until U.S., U.K. and ISAF troops started liberating them and enforce the peace. Your statements are a misdirected as joe80dman's reply. REMEMBER; whether the government has a different agenda, or whether you like it or not, our soldiers CHOSE to fight, even for ignorant douchebags such as yourself. If it weren't for troops in the past, you wouldn't even have been able to express your opinion.

  • @EndOfMichiko

Yeah... I call bullshit on that.

If it was not the soldiers - people who are stupid enough to give up their own dignity and self respect and go along with the collective stupidity of "group think" - we would not have the wars.

And the USA - Go watch John Pilgers War on Democracy., Read "To hell with war" by Smedley Butler, and watch "The Arsenal of Hypocracy"

Google Vids... get the full length version.

  • my uncle was in a war in 1980 something it was the salvadorean civil war he shot alot of people and killed them and saw things he shouldnt have yet he is normal and has no ptsd and no physkie he and the rest of the poeple of el salvador are used to blood guts decapitation nude bodies with blood and all that stuff yet u guys freak the fuck out when u shoot someone heres a lesson when killing an enemy try not to let ur emotiond cloud ur mind and eyes and see more violence and it wont happen again

  • Ha, one of their names is General Patton!

  • been super tired since my shrink upped my dose of clonazapam... it sucks always being tired but she says ive been homicidal lately and i need some adjustments to my meds...life sucks...

  • @93CFD I hear ya....been on trazodone for nearly two years. With the Traz' it's not just fatigue, but also emotional numbness. But I got a new doc now and he is toning down the dosages until I can safely quit. He told me that, although meds really help for some, there is no cure whatsoever for PTSD. Since I'd be stuck with it for the rest of my life, I figure I'd give dealing with it clean a shot, right? No sense in feeling shitty on meds of they don't remedy it, right?

  • PTSD SUCKS! aint no cure, drinking helps to a certain extent. zoloft and stuff like that also sometimes but it never goes away fully!

  • Fuck them I've been on 3 tours to Afghanistan Im 173rd airborne ranger in i deal with it everyday any body who says its bullshit has never been in the "shit" has never had to carry a wounded bother or take an others life so all i say is they should enlist and go through it and stand up for ur damn freedom and shut ur mouth cuz until they do that there nothing. Hail o'hail o' infantry

  • @jdmjerk88 Amen Brother. It's easy to sit in the living room watching war reports on TV eating twinkies and complaining about 'unjust wars'. Unless people actually get off their lazy asses ...hell even if they just protested on the streets...at least you'd try to do something. But just complaining about it without contributing to a solution is just weak and cowardly. fmr 3/75RGR Queen of battle follow me. An Airbore Ranger's life for me. Oh nothing in this world is free!

  • @MrCombatveteran your not a coward... they did the same to me... they kept me even though i put in many requests to see base doctors... they were all denied cause they didnt want anyone to get out... they promised me everything if i just kept my mouth shut and at my eaos they said i cant reenlist cause of ptsd and traumatic brain injury...

  • well there is also the side about

these generals being portrayed as weak men

  • What ever happen to the military's motto "suck it up soldiers"?

  • @KhmerD0g It's with the men who committed suicide or the veterans living on the street. PTSD is not something you want to "suck up".

  • @codename7000

so where will this motto appropriately apply?

  • Commands are insisting soldiers be "rubber stamped" and making sure they stay in the fight, at all costs. In spite of the fact that these guys' families at home may/will suffer the consequences of it. They don't care. They only care if they can't keep it out of the "funny papers" (ie the media).

  • I try not to sound like a ass hole but most of these Generals were 2nd Lt.'s in Nam. Fuck your 21 days in Fallujah. I was and still always be a Army Ranger. First to fight in Afghanistan and Iraq.. I pulled dual missions some days that went on for 12 hours. Fallujah was rehearsed over and over again. Also I never once got grief from my commanders they were the ones that recognized. We volunteered for this and are not victims. I've got thirteen years and you say Fallujah?

  • What a Lucky Bastard - To have the name Patton in the Army.....

  • dont trust the gov health care system with your ptsd vets. YOU WILL BE SORRY. stay tight with your comrades that were beside you. its unsafe to discuss your issues with anyone that hasent been in your shoes. fair warning and good luck. dont stop living now.

  • Granted that was a terrible experience...try being trapped in Fallujah for 21 days. Try getting blown up almost every mission outside the wire. Try watching friends die right in front of your eyes. That's my experience. These guys probably never once set foot outside the base and if they did, they went by helicopter. I'm sorry, I don't feel sorry for them.

  • wow Generals (politicians) with PTSD...how about the ones on the front lines, what do they get..MALINGERING? they never beileve the soldiers...

  • shad

  • i feel the pain i was there and when i asked for help with ptsd i was called a sad bagger and kicked out. i latter went to the va for help and was told i do not have ptsd.

thank God i had a loving family who helped me when the country i fought for would not.

i still deal with it every day.

  • My cousin Ty Lusk needs help.

He has pulled a gun on people.

He drinks and suffers from PTSD

He is a danger to himself and others.

He needs to be forsably committed ASAP.

he lives in Ocilla Georga, but is missing at this time.

    Please help.

    Hugs and blessings.. Cathy.

  • General Patton???

  • @DutchPetriot 'PETRIOT???' lol sorry bro, jsut had to point that out. No offense.

  • After being blown up twice in Iraq and my dreams of explosions waking me up at night, harsh mood swings, carrying my emotions on my sleeve, self doubt, isolationism in my own home, memory loss, plus alot of other things, I went to the VA for help. I was told I do not have PTSD but they classified it as an "Adjustment Disorder". Later in the SAME paragraph the findings said it was not military related. "Deny, Deny, till they die" is the VA's motto. Goto hell VA, thats what you condemn us to

  • Nam vet here. I had 2 buddies go home and within 2 years they had commited suicide. Nobody knew about ptsd then.

The great appreciation that we felt for one another over there, is part of the problem. Because it seems no one appreciates you when you come home and have to work at a minimum wage job. And your boss cannot even speak english well, and never served.

  • @handydude6 Iraq vet here with PTSD. I think they have always known about PTSD but just didn't want to confront the issue. They used to call it shell shock after WWI but there is a social stigma that gets in the way. At my local VFW hall I always seem to have more in common with Vietnam vets than the vets of other wars.WWII and Korean war vets seem to have gotten alot more respect when they got home. Your right about the job situation. If it wasn't for the GI bill I'd probably be homeless now.

  • @handydude6 :

I agree with you. I may not have served in a war, but i did do my time in the army serving my country. After that i entered university. Everyday, i look at some of these kids and think to myself, maybe they are the way they are because they never served.

  • i think they are just talking out of their asses! there is no way in hell a 4 star general goes on patrol with their nco's !

  • Ilikeguns1000:

The migraines, nausea that comes with the migraines), night mares, flashbacks, disassociation, difficulty controlling emotions... Blehbleh.. :-(

They all suck.. I just started heavy PTSD therapy and I'm all over the place and feel like my gut is being ripped out, exposing all that I can't forget but really wish I didn't remember..

  • Why the hell are people arguing politics ?

The men and women go where they are sent.. They follow orders..

Saying that you HAVE to expect something like PTSD if you enlist just shows ignorance.

They know they may be deployed, they know they might give their life, but sometimes going on in life is .. Well.. We know how that is, and understanding that at 18-20yrs old in regards to your future might be tough..

  • Let's see.We don't care on how the Taliban feels. We didn't care about how the Soviets felt when we gave the Afgans stingers to shoot down their choppers. We don't care about all the people dying in Central Africa.Yet we care about some person who volenteered to fight but bitches later.

  • I'm not trying to insult soldiers or people with this condition but if you join the army this is something you should know about and understand the responsibility of joining the army.

  • @eggsaladinthetub yes you can prepare your self all you want but nothing can actually prepare you for killing another human being or seeing your brothers in arms dying infront of you.

  • @EvanGravelle I've seen the shit dude. It's not that bad.

  • I am a civilian appreciative of General Carter Ham's candor in making public his personal experience with PTSD. You can view a remarkable video showing US veterans of the war in Iraq who have been able to largely overcome their PTSD through practice of the Transcendental Meditation technique. You can view it on Youtube: "PTSD and Transcendental Meditation" (parts 1 and 2).

  • I think the sort of scenario like the Major faced in the film "Brothers" where he was forced by the Taliban to beat a man to death is worse. Also, in Vietnam, soldiers had to kill children. Suicide bombers are easier to cope with. After all, we can rationalise that the other side did it.

  • i've been home for 8 months now and i still cant get right

  • I'm a vet of OEF and OIF. I did 2 tours in the middle east, and a lot of Marines and people I made pretty close friends with never made it back. They become like your family, and when they don't come back, at first it's hard to understand, almost like you're a little kid again with someone explaining to you what death is for the first time. I've been out for almost 2 years now, but I completely understand you, brother, i've been there. All I can say is talk about it, and hang in there. Peace!

  • is it normal to have siezures? i was just playing a war video game, and my heart beat was suddenly fast and passed out shaking. then i awoke pissed off and wanted to attack everybody. i was home just for 1 week from afghanistan, what the fuck was that? please help

  • Sounds like a very severe panic attack. Fast heart rate, shaking, disassociation (leaving your body, sort of like passing out), and irritability are all severe anxiety reactions. The anxiety probably came from the war video game. Don't worry about it, better than a seizure. A lot of people have one panic attack and after realizing that is what it was, it doesn't happen again.

  • @TheLastEmporer999 If you have epilispy(Pardon spelling) its not the fact its a war game it's just you have a condition disabling you to play games constanly.Flashing colors realy.

  • They don't even do that for us...the pill I mean...I don't know if it's the same for everybody, but for me (I was here for this), being there wasn't that hard. It was hard work, and hard to watch people dying again and again right after you finish working on them...but the hardest part was coming home. It like "you don't need that rifle...this is America...nothing to fear here...just fucking go home and forget it all happened...". It just wasn't that easy. I wish to God it was.

  • the flag is backwards to represent what it looks like if you were running with one! PTSD is no joke! It needs to be addressed and treated properly! not a wham, bam, now get out....here's your little happy pill...BS

  • I give them credit for speaking out. But if you are a "regular enlisted" soldier, you get alot of grief from your superiors. So safer for those two to come out.

  • No more Wars! No more Wars !

Nobody asks why the american flags on their sleeves is now a backwards flag

  • I am a combat veteran of Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom. The flag on your right arm flies backwards signifying that you are going into battle. You will note that in peace time the flag in the opposite if worn. I went to the V.A. and sought treatment for PTSD and now I have lost my second amendment rights because of the veterans disarmament act HR 2640. Why is that not talked about?

  • @bigmoney714 If you had a brain you would know that's not possible.

  • Where the bombs came from?

  • once these men enter counseling they will be labelled PTSD and obama and rahm emanuel will make sure they are not allowed to own firearms. nice way to repay their service huh?

  • @DennyMclain2008 If they bitch and moan about the stress of something they could have chosen not to do that's their fault and should recognize that.

  • This goes beyond sadness. I hate to see young men being slaughtered in such a violent manner, especially when it could have been avoided. No amount of money is worth a human life. We immediately feel a resentment towards the Iraqi resisters, but is this pre-judging? If a foreign military force occupied any one of our states, or towns, what would we do?

  • @joe80dman Yeah, the Afgans are cruel.Good thing we gave them stingers to shoot down Soviet heliopters and torture those people.Right? So fair.

  • @joe80dman Yeah I realy think that it's been over thought how heroic our soldiers are. They have equipment from the most expensive military in the world vs some rag tag gurilas with 60 year old weaponry. And look and the casualty count. They're getting slaughtered and if 1 US soldier dies everyone cries like it isn't expected in war.

  • @eggsaladinthetub : More importantly is the fact that we should have never assaulted Iraq in the first place. How has this benefited the average citizen? This "war" was instigated by the Israelis, who goaded our president and Congress, into attacking a sovereign country. The monetary costs have been staggering. The thousands of dead soldiers is all for naught. We've only made our country worse than before.

  • @joe80dman Our country has fallen into the lure of the military industrial complex and is becoming more and more dependent on fighting a war.

  • @joe80dman Many people think we're fighting this war because of 9/11.We were only waiting for an excuse to fight them.

  • @eggsaladinthetub : Our government manufactured an alibi to attack Iraq. The Israelis manipulated the American military into the assault based on false charges. Even if the charges had been true, (WMD's), this shouldn't have justified a war frenzy mindset within the Pentagon. Trillions of dollars, and thousands of dead American youth, and all for what?

  • @joe80dman Barely 10 soldiers have died on our side compared to theirs.Have you considered that? They sign up to join the military they should be ready to die.

And again this war is a big excuse used to feed the ever growing MIC that consumes America.

I have relatives that were in 'Nam and one who pilots helicopters right now.Neither complain about PTSD,have had fallen comrades, and do support the war in Afghan.

  • @eggsaladinthetub : Who is benefiting from the Afghan war? It certainly isn't one of us, or the average citizen. Everyone has at least one family member who enjoys military service. But this shouldn't justify assaulting smaller countries, and/or slaughtering their civilians. What would you do if a foreign country attacked the U.S.? You wouldn't just sit around waiting for them to shoot you, would you?

  • @joe80dman Life is all about perspectives. Sadly sometimes we are blinded and only able to see our own.

  • @joe80dman These generals are talking about the horrific aftermath of combat our brave troops have to go through when they get home. The same trauma that RAPE VICTIMS go trough on a daily basis. Troops require SUPPORT, not DOUBT. You may have the privilege of exercising your democratic rights, but troops do not have that luxury on the clock and over the wire. You want to protest the war? You need the government, NOT the military. Your points are valid, but grossly misdirected!

  • @EndOfMichiko : I feel you misconstrued the jest of my comment. I never ridiculed the troops. I'm saying that these troops should have never been deployed to these far-flung countries in the first place. What good has come of it? In fact, it would be more appropriate to rename our Dept. of Defense as the Dept. of Offense, for this is what our military actually does: Assault smaller countries for the benefit of global financiers that control our president and Congress.
