I say we petition BR to put this song back in the line up. I know you'll support this because if you found this song, you'd want them to do it live all the time.
People who say BD's songs are too complex must be quite retarded :P That said, I love retarded people too ;) This is still a song for unity! A song of empathy and solidarity! Something this world really loses more and more, whatever of it that it ever had... which doesn't mean we shouldn't fight for a better system!
Bad Religion was awesome before the reunification with Brett. Now they only do "greatest hit" setlists. In this concert they have the balls to do this beautiful song which only 1 % of the audience knows.
Sure if they played lesser known songs at concerts die hard fans like ourselves would be happy, but it's the majority that matters - everyone pays the same amount to get in after all.
The 3 latest albums are kick ass enough for me to forgive Brett for the constrainsts he has supposedly put upon their set list!
I had a dream...of unity Where we could work side by side But today I see that it's only me Just trying to get by Sometimes we strive...undeterred To walk as one... toward our goal But as people stray towards more selfish ways We see we have no control I had a dream... of unity Where we would work side by side But today I see that it's only me Just tryin' to get by just tryin' to get by
a lot of people dont like his voice i happen to think hes the greatest singer ever when he opens his mouth you just gotta listen dude commands respect
True that. He has an awsome voice. There are some songs that he has written that are just so complex that and almost kills it, but when he does it right, like in Come Join Us or Hear it, he create a work of lyrical art with an awsome puck rock sound. He is a master of telling stories through lyrics. A true genius in his field.
Thanks for posting all this, man - this is a terrific concert. Greg sounds great, and Jay's backing vocals (that seriously tend to fluctuate) are fine, too... Also, quite a few of these songs aren't played live very often.
Hey sorry does anyone know what album "Dream of Unity" is from? It's one of my favorite songs and I've always what cd it's from. It sounds like it could be from an E.P. or something.
Not heard this one before, really nice. Sounds like Recipe for Hate era

I love this song.
Bad Religion really needs to release a B-sides album
Some of there best songs are ones that aren't actually part of their albums.
"Shattered Faith", "Who we are", and this song....
and of course...."Into the Unknown"

On a side note, was this Jay's hippie phase?

I also think he's the best singer ever.
And also the best songwriter. Hearing all his great lyrics makes me guess that he can't even say something senseless.
Bad Religion, best band! =)

That song was featured (as one of three studio acts) on the 1996 live album Tested. Hope that helps... :-)
