I got microsoft office 2008 for $10 from my college, cause they have special deals with Microsoft.

I also picked up XP pro and Vista Ultimate there too, $10 each.

I am 22 and I saved $70,000 over the course of 2 years. I obviously don't have it laying around the house, I bought land and will try to build without taking out a loan from the bank.

Just had a high paying job and the fact that I lived with my parents helped a lot.

I don't feel sorry for the people that lost there homes because of there stupidity, taking an adjustable rate, over leveraging themselves, trying to get rich quick on the California market. Let them learn there lesson.

My finances have never been better. The economy is not effecting me at all. Make money, spend money and ignore everyone trying to bring you down and tell you that the economy is bad. Inflation happens on an ongoing basis. It will never end. Things are always going to cost more. Remember people saying "when I was a kid, I could go see a movie and get popcorn and a drink for 5 cents" do you think the economy will turn around and be just like that? Be realistic. Plan for inflation, it won't revert.
