they say these are kurdish etc.. however this is a very rare species and Turkish Van University tries to save these beauties. even it is kurdish etc., we see that they only remember cats when there is some politics to do. their love to animals is that all. i donot even talk about their attitude to human. doing terrorism, killing people.. here who makes politics on kurdish people are mostly the member of terrorist pkk org. do not care them. they are not the real representers of our citizens.

Van is legally in Turkey so the name of the cat is TURKISH VAN CAT. You can't say London is the capital of Scotland. its a same situation. so its Turkish Van Cat. please correct it.

Just so you know! This cat breed is actually an Armenian Cat Breed not Turkish. They were breed 5000 years ago by Urartian Kingdom (Armenians) before an arrival of Otaman Turks who have adopted the breed after the 1915 Genocide of Armenian populations in Western Armenia including lake and City Van region, now modern day Turkey...
