once you enter that port forwarding stuff, and check the box, then what do you do with your ps3? because, im sure it doesn't just stop there...

@mynameiseugene Yes your right, you need to go down to your internet setting in your ps3 and reconfigure your Wi-Fi settings and choose custom. when you get to the ip settings choose static ip and type in the ip you choose to forward in your router.

lol for some reason strict nat is good for me i can connect to anyone and it connected me faster

i got open nat on xbox and it takes forever to connect

and i have strict on ps3 and when i tried to find matches i got into them quick with good connection (for CoD on halo im fine)

so they really gotta fix their servers

connection issues..BAM!!! Gone!!

your basically having your router's firewall leave alone the listed ports so they go unhindered to your PS3

put ps3 on your DMZ..ALL ports for ps3 are OPEN (bad idea if your one of the num nuts using ps3 for internet browsing)

tried the opening ports, tried the dmz, even tried plugging ps3 right into modem, bypassing all wireless router-ness....  stilll came out nat3 with all methods including direct connection.... any idea why it still is nat3?

@shammas23 u can get nat type 2 with any router or modem even dial up what king connection u got u will prolly need your PPPoE for your router

@shammas23 u do internet connection test and your pppoe is your username and password you get from your isp they will give it to you take few minutes

@AznBallers03 Try the pppoe thing, i had the same problem and then i saw that solution and i called up my isp and within minutes i had NAT 2:) but if you've already tried this i don't know what else to try. keep looking you'll find you solution eventually, i know i did!

@AznBallers03 its very simple this is what u need for nat 2 your, PPPoE from your isp call them they will give it to you and just run setup wizard no need for a wep key and after you finish that unplug your router reset your modem and unplug your ps3 run settings everything automatic and connection test im sure u will get nat :)

I don't have a PPPoe username and password according to me ISP. They use DHCP, so they don't use that apprently. -__- Portforwarding doesn't work either. I've tested the ports and their still closed.
