  • Great to see Ian on piano. Loved his playing. R.I.P.

  • watch Charlie twirl his drumsticks- BOTH hands! yet he doesn't do it when he plays like a lot of show-off rock drummers- why? because Charlie's a REAL drummer, a swinger not some rock showoff bullshitter! yet Charlie can out-bullshit the best rock drummers if he wants!

  • GOOD ! But Keith did always the same things in the boogie ... Let's Mick Taylor play dude !

  • HIP SHAKE BABY starts at 3:40

  • its a great to hear micks nice les paul tone mixed with keiths telecaster tone

  • The Stones is all you need...and a little party liquor too. Good shit man. Thanks.

  • Gotta love the C pentatonics with a cigarette dangle.

  • KEITH ES EL MEJOR!!!

ni brian, ni mick, ni charlie...

    KEITH RICHARDS!!!!

  • Mick Taylor rules

  • What key are they playing in? I'm dying to know so I can so-what learn this rhythm , just sounds so cool!

  • @teekona15 D i think, sorry,i dont have my guitar with me so i cant be sure

  • @teekona15 first jam is in C and hip shake ( the second ) is an A blues ! ejoy !!

  • Those guys could play anything !

  • Saddle Shoes??? How sexy!!! lol

  • Watch a band and you can see who the leader is. It's obvious it was KR, not MJ.

  • @robertlaf there's no leader in The Rolling Stones

  • Ian Stewart on piano. The man was a blues and boogie woogie genius.

  • EVERYBODY in the zone.............totally eeeeelecccctric session

  • Keith in his prime here, look and all

  • dont fuck with the stones

  • HEROIN.

  • I can listen to this all day.

  • keith.....is keith!!!!!

  • This whole session needs to released as a DVD! Soon!!!!!

  • some of the best live footage of stones - thanks

  • Dayum, LUVIN this !! Would love to see the boys just blue-jam away like this nowadays (which a jazz-blues bassist like Darryl could most def. accommodate)!! Seen them 3-4 times in past 20 years and while they sounded great & are still among my faves, it all just seemed very "packaged". I realize times have changed & audience now mainly just wants to hear the old hits, but maybe try a brief blues jam on for size on next tour? I mean they could just fart onstage & get applause, so why not ??

  • This is an awesome high quality vid of a stellar blues JAM by the Stones at an awesome period in their career. If your not a Stones fan who cares, but why bash the Stones? As soon as you do that everyone just knows your crazy! Good luck having more success in the music industry than these guys.

  • would somebody please shoot bill wyman, no bass would be better than a sloppily played one

  • @1954telecaster It's a rehearsal.

  • @WadeMacKinnon - ignorant comment.

  • @1954telecaster YOUR comment was the ignorant comment. People rehearse for a reason. Bill Wyman is only human, he IS allowed to make mistakes.

Just because this rehearsal made it to youtube 38 years later, doesn't mean it becomes anything else. It is still just a rehearsal. Enjoy it for what it is, and not what you want it to be.

And maybe next time you could actually FORMULATE AN ARGUMENT as apposed to just calling someone you disagree with ignorant.

  • @WadeMacKinnon - youre obviously not much of a musician or a Stones fan

  • @1954telecaster Again you continue to insult me without actually formulating an argument. I am a multi-instrumentalist and I play in a few ensembles, every musician has the occasional bad day.

I am a huge stones fan, but even I recognize that they are all ONLY HUMAN. That is why I can look past Bill Wyman's sloppy bass playing in this jam.

I can also look past Mick Jagger's vocals when the go off pitch, Keith Richard's often sloppy lead guitar, Charlie Watts' occasional sloppiness etc...

  • @WadeMacKinnon Its called rock and roll you idiot. What a stupid comment.

  • @oreldm Explain to me what is stupid about my comment.

I start off defending Bill Wyman against someone who thinks he should be shot because he was a little sloppy in a blues jam, and I start getting flamed.

I'm the one defending the fact that Rock and Roll can be a little sloppy.

  • @oreldm What was stupid about my comment.

I'm defending the fact that rock and roll, and rock and roll musicians ARE allowed to be a little sloppy.

I wonder if you actually read the whole conversation between me and 1954 telecaster.

  • cool fucking jam

  • Fantastic musicians just grooving happily (grassily?) along.....

  • let it rock ....

  • shake your hip, babe

    This is a real JAM!!!

  • There was never a better white rock band assembled, remember, the Beatles were a pop band

  • I love the sound of Charlies drums...especially that snare drum..its got so much punch to it. Gretsch drums are fuckin sweet, so are the old ludwigs. Big fan of Buddy Rich's snare too.

  • so right ! snare sounds great, as does charlies playing , wish i had a drumset like that

  • ZZ Top? la Grange? you guys should listen to more blues, you might learn something

  • The real Rolling Stones!!

  • Are you honestly talking about Hannah Montana of Disney fame?

  • any fault

  • The fact that you listen to Hannah speaks volumes about your taste in music.

  • La Grange :)

  • el mejor boogie de los stones

  • ZZ Top!

  • As much as i loved hearing Keith solo, I would have loved it if Mick Taylor would have stopped doing rhythm and soloed for a bit

  • somebody knows what is the name of this documentary one? the truth I want that it to lower by you plow and not it encounter. I am thankful for the information to them.

  • exelente como me gusta este jam blusero

  • every time i watch this i want to go play my telecaster

  • The beatles are such a mama´s boys comparing to the stones.

  • u can definately hear their chess influence especially in that blues jam!!!

  • Charlie knows how to play drums

  • maybe thats why he's a drummer instead of a guitar player

  • pssssssssssssss

  • Keith Richards..... the best rithm n blues and ragge guitar player

    loving........chuck berry

  • Pura vida.... Pura vida...!!

  • thats what makes a good rock and roll song. simplicity. lol

  • mick is funny in this lol

  • Keith started as a R and B man His early Heros were the early Blues men and it shows on songs like Spider and the Fly.

  • Except for Chuck Berry songs and the Split solo on SFTD Mick taylor Handled the Live solos.Therer act was fairly well Defined and The Stones were never big Jammers

  • Ronnie is a good guitaris, but Taylor is better, much better

  • keith is the blackest blues man that born white ahahahahahahahahahahahah

  • yes he is ver black

well he plays like a bluesman

  • Ian Stewart (the sixth stone) was such a fantastic boogie woogie Piano Player

  • So cool to have this on movie! It's so rare!

can we find this on DVD?

    Thank for posting that......

  • why Keith didnt play blues solo like that on stage ?

  • what brand cigarette did keith smoke

  • So much tighter than the Beatles

  • is that a pipe at 3:24 that mick taylor is holding? Its hard to see. Reef it!
