    these type of rows are more focused on explosiveness. doesnt matter that theres limited range. its super heavy and quick

    its more of a power lifting / strength type of training method. i got a mate who does this and his upper back is crazy strong. it goes hand in hand with regular "good form" rows. a bit of both never hurt anyone

  • He's not moving 800lbs. Ronnie Coleman used to do 500lbs for about the same number of reps, and he is a very strong bodybuilder. The majority of weight is at the back of the fulcrum. Hard to say what the exact mechanical advantage is but I'd say he's lifting maybe 1/4 of the weight of those plates.

  • anyone who has done the simplest of physics would know that IS NOT comparable to a standard T-bar row of 800lbs. Its a shit load easier when the weight is behind you because the torque required to lift it is a lot lower. Still heavy just not 800lb heavy thats for sure!
