  • Thank you for posting! I have been looking for the 50 years of Transatlantic Ad for years! I remember it so well.

  • I hated TWA. Never had a good experience with them.

    NEVER!

  • "Up, up and away...T--W--A" was the best and should have been here. Does anyone know where to find a copy of it, or at least the audio version of it? As for crediting the ad agencies, the "Up, up and away" campaign was created by Foote, Cone and Belding.

  • The first & ad was also used in radio campaigns in spring of 1961

  • This is really nice. I remember seeing this on one of trip's to Paris years back. Many good memories. I liked the Convair 990 ( The Smoker - The Rocket) the best of all.

  • This video is neglecting the "Today's TWA; Find out how good we really are" campaign.....

  • hahah ontimemanship.... awesome

  • You said ok to copy this video in your description box. Nice video - shitty quality. Obviously you lifted it from a ton of other lifted from sources or you don't know shit about quality compression!

  • Imagine how TWA were today if it were still in service...................

  • terrible quality vid. It will not go to heaven.

  • dude is that katherine hepburn at 2;27?

  • Imagine that, meals on a plane (5:28)-- how novel!

  • Too bad we never got to fly on those 717s.

  • Is that Katherin Hepburn at 2:28?

  • I was hired on 752006 at Breech Academy as a flight attendant with TWA. I acheived my Flight Service Manager in 1980 and was based at JFK until 2001.

TWA was the best airline to fly for , and made many friends! T-5 was our home away from home. Thank you for the wonderful memories!! We at TWA thank you for flying with us today!

  • i love TWA!

    i always loved there L1011 and 747s!!

  • the advertising agencies responsible should, at least, be credited.

where's: "Up. Up. and Away. TWA"?

    where's "Leading the Way. TWA"?

this compilation is seriously lacking the best TWA advertising, sorry.

  • To kenramonet, 100% right! Up..Up..& Away was one of the best! Late 1960's early 1970's The 5th Dimension did the jingle! I was based in JFK, left during the Carpetbagger Carl Icahn strike of 86/87, we thought C.E.Meyer was a washout, with Icahn we dealt with a ruthless profiteer I hope he's in hell!

  • for all of us who were part of the TWA family, here's to us and all we shared.

Our beloved company may be gone

but our memories still burn bright.

I sure wish we could do it all again

    and change the ending.

  • Thank you-my dad was a TWA pilot since 1990.

  • I don't know who is using the terminal at LaGuardia, but it will ALWAYS be TWA's!! :)

  • jet blue has JFK but they kept all of the old TWA signs and they plan to keep the TWA feeling since it was TWA'S in the first place......... ALTHOUGH i think airliners are all cut-throat. I THINK JET BLUE IS DECENT BECAUSE THEY WANTED TO KEEP THEM ALIVE IN SPIRIT

  • Thank You this makes my back hair stand up. brings back all the memories of my first plane ride on TWA

  • @twawasthebest I sure miss TWA and Pan Am! Their style and colors were wonderful! However, TWA and Pan Am were a bit too pricey tho.' I think the lower priced carriers have succeeded based solely on prices!
