Why didnt you play this in C the way it was recorded. Its a hell of alot easier than all the bar chords. Its sounds good though, dont get me wrong.

@theivory1 This song in C is simply a bit too high for my voice, so I put it in Bb. Besides, with the barre chords I have more control over the ringing strings and can get it to groove better.

I've been searching for the original of this song by Michael Penn, and I've only been able to come across covers on this site. Nothing really seemed to do the original justice...until I found this! I've completely stopped looking for Penn's version and I have this on my playlist now :)

Really outstanding. Helped me learn the tune on guitar. It would be a great song for the streets of New Orleans (the acoustics at the corner of Royal and St Louis are outstanding but the competition for that space can be fierce). Anyway, if you ever make it there you would have a blast.
