A girl in my choir did this song as her senior solo in 2008 and she wore the same blue dress with the pink circle one underneath. The dance looked very similar as well seeing as Andy is our choreographer.

For clarification i was reading all the posts and I am the girl who got my shoe stuck under the riser so while we kicked i took the other one off, ya i am cool like that and i am also the girl who cant get her dress down after the costume change so i am glad i was the comedic relief for the number =)

Don't You think they should get their money's worth? Because chances are they spent a boat load on their lift, so why not use it if you spent all that money on it?

im in tech crew so here, i'll explain the quick change, they have the "bangel" dresses on under the purple and the purple just snap up the back, there is actually sa small handle the the guys have to pull on when the girls change, it took so much practice
I'd Like to add that they are an amazing choir and deserved G.C. every time they got it this year. For everyone that is evil and only taks about how much money they spend let me remind you theres no spot on the scoresheet that says "how shinny it was" If ur going to critisize do it about something that makes sense.
I agree I love cg shows. i just think that if they r going to do such an elaberate show they should clean up the dancing choreo wise they aren't great. Don't get me wrong tap is hard but lots of showchoirs are doing that now and it bugs me that they don't always do it right. If ur gonna go big go all the way.
ilove the tap number it shows all the time and effort you guys put into the show, the costumes r so cool but when a choir does a amazing tap number nobody is going to care what you r wearing they r just going to be so amazed that you r doing tap. you could have left it at tear away and did more tap it would have been even more amazing.

By taking out the large amount of tap that they do, taking out the costume changes, the lift, the skirt, all of the bells and whistles... They would not be showing off! The song is called SHOW OFF.

the people making bad comments are probably just mad that their school's choirs didn't win. CG is really talented in all areas. They had a really entertaining show this year. go watch evolution of dance. ((it's on the right)) now THAT'S entertainment. and that's from this show.

Actually, CG deserved the Grand Champ. they got here. They were FAR superior choreographically and sang really well using great dynamics and intonation. NC was just off in both areas. Well I've seen Cedar Rapids Jefferson every year since 1994 and I know that they did a lot of stuff like this, especially the long dress. I dont think you realize the history CRJ has had. I think I know a lot more than you do about show choir.

1)wrong soloist to try to attempt a sutton foster staple.
2) tap dancing is old.
3) choirs who are just out to win GCs all the time and not to entertain, are in it for the wrong reason.
