Also it would be more interesting if the team members explained it while doing e.g the modifications. Also it is unnecessary to repeat everything every five minutes.

A fast-moving object will not stop that easily, it's the same old mass, speed, friction thing as we've experienced on countless occasion. @amundb it's a bit counterintuitive. A stone you skip on the lake doesn't have 4 wheels, an exhaust system and open engine bay on its bottom. So the fact that a car CAN skip on water does come as a surprise to most people

That is a good point, I agree. But these factors could be countered by adding more speed. I have skipped lots of rocks in my life, some of them not perfectly flat, others downright coarse, or even partially hollow.

I think the fascination over this might also come from actually skipping something as large as a car. Consider a stone of the same size at that car. Even without the engine bay etc. skipping an object that large could qualify as impressive.

I HATE the English narration on Mythbusters.
