I'm surprised you use the Canon xf100 if your cutting down on weight and production values are not so important there must have been lower cost and smaller alternatives like the XA10 so why the xf100?

Just saw your video and needed to say go for it! I am currently deciding my future now that my girl is grown up and in university . A traveler by heart, I was commited to getting my daughter to an age where she is doing her own thing and now that she is - I am itching to get my life back and experience the world. I also have a hunger to explore as much as I can before I decide where it is I would like to live. Would like to catch up with you sometime and compare notes. The lists are similar!!

@OHaiChumplet yes, Canada is on the list, will probably be the last place I visit. My plan is Sth Est Asia, across to Europe, then middle east, africa, to Sth America and then up to Canada
