Just played game on my 360,and it is a lie,no single fps drop (till chapter 3) on finishers,or anything else...Ice titan boss battle was EPIC man...Far better then GoW (yes i do have PS3 too,but i play only exclusives on it)...It took me 9-11 hours for GoW,and it is fairly easy...But here,this is HARD man,i m playing on warrior difficulty and i m dying like crazy...Specially level where you get shadow magic >.<
@dragonbreathstinks this game honestly i think is better than god of war. dont get me wrong i love god of war but the story of this game and the control and action is better. and 20 hours is longer than most games out there.
shadow of aolosus??? news flash man, castlevania had the first monsters who are bigger enemies. And to all of you who do not know it yet, vampires are enemies in this castlevania as well, they just may not have been showed here, because this is the very first trailer they showed, look at the new one, and you will see that vampires are enemies as well
Super Castlevania on the SNES is still the best of the series IMHO. Don't get me wrong, this seems like a good game, but it just screams God of War in every minute. Especially the fighting scenes are just too obvious. Nevertheless I will pick this up at a later point and price drop because I love classic game franchises such as Castlevania.

Kojima just help promote it he didnt do much help just like hes not working on Rising game its for his yuong staff to work on and see what they can come up with for the mgs series also big news!!! Kojima is working on a exclusive ps3 game he said it might be a MGS5 or a new game and its going to be a big budget game :D
@redfootninja It can't be MGS5. Kojima has allready said that the MGS franchise is for both xbox 360 and PS3. But if he is doing some new exclusive game to PS3 i'm really excited to see what it is going to be :)

I agree, it does use the same engine that god of war used, but thats really nothing to hold against it. Symphony of the night used the same engine as super metroid and thats a classic. This game is going to be badass. The fighting system from God of war, the scale of shadow of the colossus and the badassness of castlevania.
ive been playing pretty much ALL the vanias and i gotta say i LOVE the direction this one is taking, its different yet retains some basic things that make it A CASTLEVANIA. original, looks great, great gameplay graphics, and storyline. only thing i wish there was more of is interaction between different characters.

@faen5863 It will be a mix of platforming, hack and slash, with epic (big) boss battles. I'm sure kojima will put his good ol' twist to it though, but the game will be awesome don't even doubt it. If kojima touches it, it becomes gold.

It looks pretty cool, and it's sweet that Kojima is trying to bring something new to this franchise. Allthough, I hope that it won't be too different, you know, that it will feel like a Castlevania game, not just a Devil May Cry-ish brawler(even though it's to early to come to that conclusion just from a trailer).

if you looked into other trailers IGN you might have noticed a line uttered by dracula about the BELMONTS. just saying you should pay more attention before shooting your mouth off, not to mention it wouldn't be the first time a decent of the belmonts didn't carry the belmont name...blood is thicker than ink.

I'm glad they did that. I would rather they concentrate on creating a robust combat system than create a lack luster RPG experience with Sub par combat.

What the hell are you talking about? I know SoTH I was awesome and I sill play it to this day. I also know DMC 4 sucks. The 3D Castlevania sucked because they had sub par development team working on them. I just hope that Kojima productions can do for Castlevania what Team ninja did for Ninja Gaiden. I just want a well designed game. I just want a game with complex action oriented game play mechanics that is some what reminiscent of the style of the older 2D Castlevania games.
DMC 4 sucks because they toned down difficulty and turned it into a mindless, boring, repetitive, hack and slash game just to satisfy cry baby gamers that couldnt play DMC 3. You didn't even need any skill to play it. Thats why I quit playing on the 3rd stage and sold my copy. Just to let you know Im a gameplay freak. I could care less about the superficial aesthetics of any game.
What the hell are you talking about, most of the bosses in Castlevania were freaking huge, look at Balore or Legion. And how do you know that monsters like Medusa won't be in it truth be told we have no idea where this story is gonna go. And further more this is a freaking Reboot that means no Belmonts, yeah it sucks but oh well, just be glad that Konami is continuing one of the best game franchises ever
mrcringles, you can't really say that any of the trademark monsters aren't in the game if you haven't played the whole thing. and I'm pretty sure that dark cloud looking monster is Death. So yeah just wait until you see a lot more of the game or play it before you critique it.
Yeah, and thats why Iga just uses about 1millon (or less) dollars to develope a game meanwhile Dave Cox and Mercury Steam are going to use about 10mil € :)

I think the game's gonna be awesome. I'd be happier if the reboot wasn't so foreign to what I'm used to, but there's a good chance that Konami will still use the old formula, especially if they react to fan reception.

@Johnwatsis Good news about the game. I read in game informer magazine for july about this game, and I heard that this game will be like sympothny of the night where you explore around the castle and there is no backtracking.

Kojima announced that as part of it being revamped, the level structure is being replaced too. More open world, less linear than previous games.

@faen5863 It will be a mix of platforming, hack and slash, with epic (big) boss battles. I'm sure kojima will put his good ol' twist to it though, but the game will be awesome don't even doubt it. If kojima touches it, it becomes gold.

THANK YOU BAJESS! i agree kojima shouldnt have BLOODY INTERFERED!!! this game does look graphically really good but ive seen the trailer on live it just looks like a bloody film trailer type shit this is not what castlevania is about (TRUST ME IVE PLAYED THEM ALL! EVERY LAST ONE!) although the graphics are good it doesnt even look like a castlevania game anymore its meant to be an old like english/gothic look which it has i guess but its still not meant to be that realistic it should still...

It looks pretty cool, and it's sweet that Kojima is trying to bring something new to this franchise. Allthough, I hope that it won't be too different, you know, that it will feel like a Castlevania game, not just a Devil May Cry-ish brawler(even though it's to early to come to that conclusion just from a trailer).
Looking forward to hear more from this game!

Kojima has officially done it! He has become the Japanese version of George Lukas (but who only deals in video games)....This is so typical! Kojima has taken his vision of the Castlevania realm & with continuous spinoffs here & some re-coning there....HE HAS SUCCESSFULLY BUTT RAPED IT.

if you looked into other trailers IGN you might have noticed a line uttered by dracula about the BELMONTS. just saying you should pay more attention before shooting your mouth off, not to mention it wouldn't be the first time a decent of the belmonts didn't carry the belmont name...blood is thicker than ink.

I'm glad they did that. I would rather they concentrate on creating a robust combat system than create a lack luster RPG experience with Sub par combat.

dude, SoTN had fucking sick combat system... and dude we have all played devil may cry 4. IT SUCKED DICK.....
the boss scaling and the fact that there are none of the trademark bosses (ie. medusa) makes it seem to me like konami are trying too hard to make this appeal to the kind of weaboo fags who thought DMC 4 was a good game.

What the hell are you talking about? I know SoTH I was awesome and I sill play it to this day. I also know DMC 4 sucks. The 3D Castlevania sucked because they had sub par development team working on them. I just hope that Kojima productions can do for Castlevania what Team ninja did for Ninja Gaiden. I just want a well designed game. I just want a game with complex action oriented game play mechanics that is some what reminiscent of the style of the older 2D Castlevania games.

DMC 4 sucks because they toned down difficulty and turned it into a mindless, boring, repetitive, hack and slash game just to satisfy cry baby gamers that couldnt play DMC 3. You didn't even need any skill to play it. Thats why I quit playing on the 3rd stage and sold my copy. Just to let you know Im a gameplay freak. I could care less about the superficial aesthetics of any game.

What the hell are you talking about, most of the bosses in Castlevania were freaking huge, look at Balore or Legion. And how do you know that monsters like Medusa won't be in it truth be told we have no idea where this story is gonna go. And further more this is a freaking Reboot that means no Belmonts, yeah it sucks but oh well, just be glad that Konami is continuing one of the best game franchises ever

mrcringles, you can't really say that any of the trademark monsters aren't in the game if you haven't played the whole thing. and I'm pretty sure that dark cloud looking monster is Death. So yeah just wait until you see a lot more of the game or play it before you critique it.

Yeah, and thats why Iga just uses about 1millon (or less) dollars to develope a game meanwhile Dave Cox and Mercury Steam are going to use about 10mil € :)

I think the game's gonna be awesome. I'd be happier if the reboot wasn't so foreign to what I'm used to, but there's a good chance that Konami will still use the old formula, especially if they react to fan reception.
