great video. could u elaborate more on the chopping kick? how do u get the power out of it? do u still move ur hips in the same motion as the regular round kick?
His arms chin and shoulders are not in the correct position sry man plus i see his kicks not hitting with the inner part of the leg's bone which makes real bitchass pain after lets say 30 bashes through the bag.
this technique to the leg is pretty much asking for a counter. Why hit with the high part of your shin when you can connect with the lower part, giving more space to recover?
Either way, I do rotate foot but it is more flat on the ground, that gives me more support. Usually you rotate on the ball of the foot if you do high or medium kicks and you are committed and go through.
i practice kickboxing for about 2 years now...i do it 4 myself...not 4 participating in competitions.and in the beginning ive learned all 3 typs of lowkicks and fortunately, they are the same as u show us.i wish i could visit u`r gym and watch a training session.but i can`t because i`m from central Europe and u r from USA.thank you 4 posting this video and sorry 4 my english.Best of luck!
good lesons,he explain very well the tehniques. But these are just training lessons,in a real battle the most important things are the atitude, the seriosity and the determination.
A real prof never start a fight,he do everything to avoid it.Only if is necessary he will fight.
i wish i didn't live all the way in Washington or else i'd sign up. Just by watching your videos i feel like i'm becoming a better fighter with each vid.
Thank you! The DVD "RoundHouse Knowledge" is coming soon. It should be up for sale in 2 weeks. I will post a trailer when it's ready. Thank you again, K
You have to turn the supporting leg, this way you will involve more body weight and momentum into the kick. Also you will fallow through, without turning your foot you won't be able to follow through, so you will have less power. Best, K
@PowerHouseKickboxing yes, i know, and i also do that, but one could also state that one should condition the foot., right? xD
well, for low-kicks, i always use the shin, for the body too. but when it comes to highkicks, i sometimes use the foot. it just covers more distance and you can create a greater "snap" effect, don't you think?
High kicks, sure you kick most of the time with the foot. Also you can do the same for low kicks as well, it's all depends on the distance and the situation.
i did that kick on this boy at school today, he was like yeah kamran lets fight, so we did and he asks me dyu know kickboxing? and i said yeah, then did a low kick, and he ended up on the floor and he didnt get up for a while. must have landed really well
La rotazione è là - il relativo soltanto realmente veloce e venire dall'anca piuttosto così del piede. Inoltre ha una scossa differente che è più come la scossa tailandese che descrivete.
In your defense, Ive seen plenty of fighters that kick just like the first part of your demonstration. There's plenty of ways to throw the kick. If the kick works well for the individual then its a good kick!
Good point. Different situation requires different application. Also everybody has different body type, MA practitioners have to adjust the basic technique to their body ability.
why is everyone making that funny SHHHHHHHHH thingy when exhaling or whatever??! rediculous..

whats best? to spin on the top of your foot when making for example a low kick or round house kick or to keep your foot flat on the ground?

should you focus on getting your kicks hard and fast? or will the speed and power eventually come with technique
bonkling 2 years ago
technique first, you need to build right muscle memory and body mechanics first. speed and power will come.

our trainer teached me to kick on toes - not on foot. Its better because there is less resistance from flor - less surface of friction.

Hey i have a question
as your kick goes from low to high
does the supporting leg turn more?
like low kick didnt look like you turn the suppoting foot much but in other your high kick video ur supporting leg turned almost 90 degrees

do u kick with the shins or foot
supasaiyn 2 years ago
With a shin, but sometimes you kick with a foot as well, depending on the distance.
PowerHouseKickboxing 2 years ago
with this kick use the shin b/c with the foot there is a chance you could break the foot
Sudol171 2 years ago
u can also break the shin by the way
BadBlueBoy213 2 years ago
That's why you need to condition your shin so it won't break

np, its true, if u turned your foot much, your kicks would be massive!
rayen555 3 years ago
uhm, im sure that ain't a good kick, u don't turn your foot much wich make your hips stay straight instead of throwing your hips in.
