I always begin with the iris too :p But i think you make the same mistake as i always do.. The iris is to big, the eye a bit to high and the iris could be more soft. But i like your style. The hard edges gives it a little rough look.. that i like (; Nice job :p

Really awesome job!! And to be 15 years old & this talented is outstanding!! I'm in my late 30's...I've drawn since the age of 5. And eyes have always been my favorite thing to draw. Allow me 2 tell u 1 good piece of advice: Relish & be proud of your talent yet never think you've fully reached your potential, always strive to be better and to learn more about art. @dooshy2212 you will be able to do this. ive never took a class, and im 13. but i draw every single day for at least an hour. ive been working on drawing photo realistic drawings for 2 years and drawing faces for 1 year. im not this good yet but i would say im happy with what i can do.

my parents do encourage me though as well as my art teacher, as she exclaims...i am more gifted than some of her advanced students already...hm...i geuss that's good :D

besides, encouragement is not needed to do art well, if you push yourself hard enough, you will get where you want to be without t many crucial errors, don't give up hope ;)!!!

It's ok, but that's only because you took something which is small and drew it on a scale which is large. Eyes are detail oriented, so trying to draw them as you did is tough.

I think if you want pictures like this to come out better you should layer them instead of trying to finish parts of it at different times.

I would suggest to always go from left to right if you right handed,top-middle-bottom, shade the top eye lid first then do the eye lashes,then do the pupil and iris second and the white part of the eye, then the bottom lid last because then your hand and arm don't overlap and rest on the shaded work you have just done, stops you from smearing anything then. Good work though.!! :)

Ive been doing alot of drawings like this and portraits lately and ive noticed the actual picture to photo taken something is lost sadly, looks alot different when your holding the drawing. I also get lazy and feel rushed near the end of a drawing if theirs alot of detail, it can ruin the whole thing.

Yer, I don't even have a scanner, i have to actually take a picture of it with my camera. A good thing to do though is to adjust the brightness and contrast in photoshop etc. it helps. Nice work !!

the reason is that the camera compresses the image, and this makes transitions appear to be smoother than they really are

the iris is really very interesting, but i like how you've really focused on its real life design because a lot of videos make it look too unclear and generic, but this looks like a real eye because the iris is unique and lifelike. and likewise for the eye lashes. fantastic job, but would have liked a brow just to place it on the face x

ok its amazing amazing in detail just the center pupil need to be more rounds, the detail is mazing...but the bottom part of the eye need ot be closer to the eye andn eed more eye lashes other than that it looks good....but it really depends on the person you were imitading

its kool that you can at a young age...i myself started when i was 5...& i was drawing landcapes, portraits & this kind of realistic drawings...but if there is any advice i can give is not label your videos as "15 year old this & that"...because frankly speaking any1 younger than can draw....so dont think its impressive...its just irritating! p.s. keep drawing

@bprayer there's an older artist from Europe somewhere that draws super realististic eyes. I can't think of his name, but he has a website with a picture of himself when he was younger and a project with trees trunks. Uber good artist though. Do you know who I'm talking about?
