After I step onto my left leg, I can't seem to start the spin. Is it because I'm not on the outer edge enough, or should be swinging my right leg earlier?

do you have tips on keeping centered as you spin. my prob is when i initially start to cross my legs i get thrown off balance.

you just need to stand up tall and try to stay still.

You are a good spinner! How do you keep a spin going? Do you have to "do something" at each revolution to make it keep spinning or does it depend on the force of just the one initial "push off" going into the spin?

hmm wow i've never been asked this before so it's going to be tough to answer. when i go into a spin i go from backward crossovers into a deep right inside edge and when i step into it i make sure i keep my balance and i make sure its centered before i pull in. to keep your position, you have to be centered. if your centered, you won't travel and your position that you were initially in won't change. that probably confused you to the max.

No, no, you are very helpful! I understand everything up to the part about "the two boots touching" because it's hard to tell in the video whether or not you were spinning two-footed at the end of the spin.  But thanks very much for your detailed explanation! Enjoy your skating!

Haha they would DEFINITELY notice if I skipped class. But that would be....*drools* amazing. We get to use it in gym so that's fun, but I don't really skate because people think I have a big head and am showing off plus we only have like 25 minutes to skate which is NOT worth dragging your skates to school everyday for. ahah.

Well it's not a club, it's a team!! Since I'm the most advanced skater I guess you could call it, (well actually my friend can land a 2sal so she is, but she's a year younger than me.) I can be captain next year. Which will be really cool. So basically it's free ice time. <3!

And actually I do remember one gym class I just told everyone to move because I was doing my program. ahah!
