I like your Wing Chun videos. I am not sure which lineage this is but nice work. Btw, I am very saddened by the disrespectful comments I see on most YouTube videos particularly by students of WingChun. I expect better and I am sure your Sifu's do as well.
Stephane, thank you sharing this. I was actually there (and appear in your clip), and had somehow always regretted not to have recorded it. Sifu Didier Beddar is not only an extraordinary practitioner, he is also a great professor, if only because his teachings produce serious and generous practitioners like you.
I enjoyed a lot about this video, and the subject appears to be a very good fighter. Meaning no disrespect whatsoever, the kicks he uses don't appear to be part of what I've been trained as Wing Chun, is this a style that's branched away from Wing Chun or a school with different techniques to mine? Thanks!
@samkeen Sifu Beddar mastered some northern kung fu before he started Wing Chun Kuen training. That's why using leg is for him as easy as using an arm. :]
@yimwingchun108 Good stuff man. I did Wing Chun LONG TIME AGO with JKD and Philippine weapon training. Current study is Yin Style Baguazhang and I must say, I SEE TONS similitude of Lion piercing and seizing drills in your compilation. Lately we have been training with Shoalin Kungfu practitioners, its great to train with diverse styles.Keep up with the perseverance of practicing Martial embodiment....PEACE.
@FightingWarrior What a superior loser to feel compelled to disparage those of hard work and dedication. I saw ur videos, u couldnt do a fraction of what yimwingchun108 posted. So to make up ur weakness, u tie ur yellow belt and practice being a keyboard warrior? If ur in Texas or China, please let me know, I would love to spar with you. It would be my first time to spar with a girl.
@FightingWarrior Lol, people come a far to learn Tai Queer Doh. If that was u teaching, all ur students performed better than u. And whats up with ur lame WingChun video with white boxes on ur head? Lol, if I looked u, Id hide my atrocious face too.
@FightingWarrior okay, do this technique...put ur bottom lip over ur head...then swallow. Swallow hard like how ur mother did. Use the force in ur esophagus glands to compromise any possible encounters. Practice gurgling mayonnaise then come see me in 60 yrs to let me know if you survived. Practice karate kid, and practice hard!
@FightingWarrior please don't talk like that! it seems that you don't like what SIFU DIDIER BEDDAR does, but you're on a martial art website, and The philosophy of the martial arts it is above all the open-mindedness and the tolerance!Show us rather what you are ableto do, it would be more interesting!
Yes. I think we can feel tai chi in his moves. But The distances he is using in most of his vids are not whing chun distances. Too far. But this vid was better than others I think.
Master Didier is possibly the finest Wing Chun Practitioner and trainer that Europe has seen. For those of you fortunate to learn from him, rest assured that your time training cannot be better spent. And for those of you who have to settle for the mere glimpse that youtube provides, this is True Art, and a level that so many Wing Chun masters strive for but rarely attain. All the Best my Kung Fu Brother.
i wanna ask why at 0:28 you block the kick with your hand. My teacher (EVTF) taught me to block always kicks with kicks, isn t it dangerous to use hands in order to block? i mean with a real kick u can broke em
as a general guide line yes, but when it come to martial arts you should never be so anal about details. Its random stuff most of the time, kind of like doing a chemistry experiment. sometimes it will work exactly as planned, sometimes it will change so drastically that you have to do something off character to make it work
It is not a block : he moves backward, the hand is only there for control. in wing chun no blocks, only deviations, the more so as we re facing a kick.
Thats because your style is probably the pigeon toed lean back suicide garbage that litters the world. The technique used here was not a block, but a simple deflection using angles. Something your teacher should learn once he gets passed the beginner levels. Kicks will often break you when you dont have the ability to move out of the way.
@kingstep87 Blocking a kick with a kick is the easy way but not necessary the best. Maybe your master thinks your not ready for block kicks with hands.

thanks for the exellent wing chun video, those drills and methods looked pretty good to me.
The would be thugs who type all those retarded comments unfortunatley do not understand what they are seeing.
As we with brains know,
" Martial arts can teach you to be better at fighting, but fighting alone can not make you better at martial arts" ;)
Those that disrespect and insult, often chanting slogans like
"get real, I would just drop that guy etc" will never grasp this and always be limited.
