For those arguing about how much power the NSX has made stock..... why not actually search for videos of stock NSX's being run on the dyno.....
Early models only made about 240hp to the wheels, and the final year, 2005, model didnt make much more at 260-270hp to the wheels stock...... they were NEVER supercharged from the factory.
most supercharger kits for the NSX only make between 350-450hp and thats it, after that its turbo kits that make the big power

I've spanked MANY comptech supercharged NSXs yet have trouble with a co-workers Gallardo(GAI YARDO) that only has Tubi exhaust and a tune.... A hint, a Gallardo (GAI YARDO) typically dynos about 415 to the ground and weighs under 3k lbs. I was about 45hp more on the same dyno as my friend's but the weight and gearing played a role in my demise when racing him(my 6th was crap to the end of his 5th).
I think that if they went side to side from a honk they would be close to even in a race, giving the NSX probably has around 350-400hp with the charger and beeing lighter it should be close to the gallardo.
No matter how many times I've seen this clip, I can't help how good that damn nsx sounds when they're gonna jump the Lambo @ 0:52, sounds nothing like the nsx.

you know a standard gallardo only traps like 112-116mph. that isnt very fast, stock NSX do 105-107mph. throw a supercharger in and its not hard to believe..

actually trap speeds are everything when your on the highway. You can have a bad launch and still have a good trap speed. A bad launch will mostly hurt your overall et while the trap is barely effected. You better have a shit load done to trap 115 in a front wheel drive with no traction.

It's 18 year old technology, Honda technology though, there's a difference. So ahead of its time. So the next NSX will have an i-VTEC V10, a more sophisticated SH-AWD than current versions, and will top the 91-06 NSX as stated by Honda.
that new NSX with the vtec will be the greatest supercar of all time. im predicting it now, now the porsche 911 will be able to touch something like that. the current nsx has a 3 litre v6 engine, and its already supremely fast and could be used everyday, when you combine that user friendliness with a massive v10....my god...look out ferrari.
I can't wait either. The 91-06 NSX had no scheduled maintenance until 105,000 miles. The next NSX will have the same reliability and user-friendliness, as well as getting 24mpg hwy. I hear hp numbers rising as well, first 500, then 550, now closer to 600. Quite a stew they're brewing.
I really like how well of a job Honda has done keeping everything, for the most part, under wraps. It's not like you know EXACTLY what it's going to look like 4-5 years ahead of it's release date.
if we end up seeing an NSX with 600 horsepower, thats pretty much it for Lambo, there shit is way too heavy to hang with stuff like that. weight will probably go up with a v10 engine, but not by a lot, CERTAINLY not into lambo territory. plus with an NSX-R honda is almost OCD about weight reduction, even changing the radio antena to be lighter. what other supercar car can boast the reliability, usability, speed, build quality and handling of the nsx? pretty much none.
Greatest? That's hard to beat. There are a lot of really good super cars that are better than the NSX. I love the NSX, but the greatest? That's a big statement.

Im going to take a wild guess that honda is going to release the new continually variable A-Vtec system with the new nsx, which has been in the works for a few years now, and if im not mistaken they had submitted a patent a fair ammount of time ago. you know a standard gallardo only traps like 112-116mph. that isnt very fast, stock NSX do 105-107mph. throw a supercharger in and its not hard to believe..

actually trap speeds are everything when your on the highway. You can have a bad launch and still have a good trap speed. A bad launch will mostly hurt your overall et while the trap is barely effected. You better have a shit load done to trap 115 in a front wheel drive with no traction.

And btw I'd take a Boxter over a NSX. Since boxters handle better than 911's And would be very very cheap to make it faster than a NSX so in all you'd spend less and handle just as good stock if not better. And you'd be driving a porsche not a Honda. unless you decide to spend another 25 grand for the title Acura instead of the title honda. Btw they make a Twin turbo kit for the gallardo that makes 1000whp......../end

It's 18 year old technology, Honda technology though, there's a difference. So ahead of its time. So the next NSX will have an i-VTEC V10, a more sophisticated SH-AWD than current versions, and will top the 91-06 NSX as stated by Honda.

I can't wait either. The 91-06 NSX had no scheduled maintenance until 105,000 miles. The next NSX will have the same reliability and user-friendliness, as well as getting 24mpg hwy. I hear hp numbers rising as well, first 500, then 550, now closer to 600. Quite a stew they're brewing.
I really like how well of a job Honda has done keeping everything, for the most part, under wraps. It's not like you know EXACTLY what it's going to look like 4-5 years ahead of it's release date.

if we end up seeing an NSX with 600 horsepower, thats pretty much it for Lambo, there shit is way too heavy to hang with stuff like that. weight will probably go up with a v10 engine, but not by a lot, CERTAINLY not into lambo territory. plus with an NSX-R honda is almost OCD about weight reduction, even changing the radio antena to be lighter. what other supercar car can boast the reliability, usability, speed, build quality and handling of the nsx? pretty much none.

Im going to take a wild guess that honda is going to release the new continually variable A-Vtec system with the new nsx, which has been in the works for a few years now, and if im not mistaken they had submitted a patent a fair ammount of time ago. The new nsx should and live upto its daddies legend, as the ultimate ass kicker of its supercar rivals.

Me too. I hear the new NSX will be RWD now. Things keep changing. First it was 500hp, then 550hp, now upwards of 600hp and RWD. But yes, another sub 3000 lb mid-engined aluminum scalpel would be nice.

I agree with updating the old NSX and not changing the layout, but actually Porsche 911 is rear-engine. The only mid-engine Porsche's are the Boxster, Cayman, and Carrera GT.
