The real name of this song is "Polovetsian dances", composed originally by Alexander Borodin, for his opera "Prince Igor".The producers of the musical "Kismet" just stolen it from him, you can see it by searching "Polovetsian dances" in youtube.
I really love this comic. I just bought the fifth posket book, but I think my favorite image of SiP would have to be in the first pocket book where Francine shoved her face with french toast and had given Katchoo a syrupy kiss. It was so cute.
I can relate to the intensity the characters desplay in the book. It's rare you find any grown up situations in romantic stories. The Xena one still cracks me up.
I can't believe it's over. I play an awesome version of Polovstian Dances on guitar. It's moooody. My band's on Terry's blog too. Check it out: The Mephs. We gots a vid on here,
It's from the soundtrack to "Kismet". Unfortunately there appear to be about a million version of Kismet on IMDB so I'm not entirely sure which one I got it from!
Checking Amazon... There's the broadway cast of the 1953 musical that sounds pretty close. Vic Damone on the MGM Movie version sounds closer. I think is who it was.
I love the way Terry Moore draws women!
