Mike, your cover of "Everyday" is good but it's not the version I'm looking for. History came out with another commercial (that includes Larry the Cable Guy for Only in America) and the background music is also Everyday. Some kind of electronic or synthesizer in the beginning.

And I'll agree with 67nairb- most of the new shows are "reality" based. I like American Pickers and Larry but they fall under Americana and pop culture.

I agree with those lamenting the degradation of the quality of the history channel's programming. I haven't visited the channel in about a year because of it; I used to watch it daily (along with planet green and food network, which also have become quite riddled with ridiculous programming that hardly pertains to anything the channel is supposed to be about at all). They should have a "spin-off" channel, like food network, on which they show REAL historical programming.

I'm highly disappointed by History Channel's move to attract ratings by green lighting ridiculously bad "reality based" shows such as these. I'm not a History Channel purist/ buff but it's heartbreaking, to say the least. this is a sign of the decline in value and priority of one of the most civilized and powerful nation the human race ever witnessed. along with The Discovery Channel, History is settling for mediocrity in order to attract those with the lowest intelligence among us.

What the hell happened to the History Channel? It's not really history anymore. What does Ice Road Truckers or Ax Men have to do with history? Pawn Stars they could probably justify since they actually talk about the history of the items on the show. It's just not the channel I remember watching growing up.

History Channel was one of my favorite channels. currently apart from 'Modern Marvels' I don't even bother checking the rest of the crap they show. what ever happened to History? what is truck driving has to do with History? that is the equivalent of a cooking segment on the NFL Network. The History Channel needs to fire whoever is in charge and made these ridiculous decisions in regards to their programming line up.

Everytime i hear a song from a commercial, promo, or trailer. I always download them. 99.9% of the time i successfully find some place to get the full version. That 1% is this song. Which by the way is my favorite promo song by far. Mike Del Rio, you didn't just do this song justice. You out did the original. The history channel is dead. They've sold out to tough guy vocational reality shows that thrive on drama and have nothing about history on them. I mean they needed to change the channel from the 24/7 Hitler network, but they didn't even try to put on anything intelligent, nope straight to the reality programs. Theres so much stuff they could do, ancient history, music history, asian history but now the channel looks like every other network on the air - crap. The only good show left
