I find some some comments here, deprecating the imperfections on the part of the trumpeter, out of place. This very difficult part can be played with perfection only by international stars, something this player is obviously not. Brave then to have recorded it: with practice he will reach the proficiency he is happy with. It need not to be of international grade: I do not feel distracted by one or two wrong notes: the style is good and that it what makes good Baroque music.
you can try to find out, what you're gonna do the next second by lot's of practice, but...
played it a few times in concerts feeling much mor differences than playing oratorios, even the ensemble's bigger then and there are much more individues!

yeah the singing is good, but did anybody notice the guy is playing a natural trumpet? One of the most amazing feats musically possible. Singing is like crossing the street. Playing the natural trumpet is like crossing the street on a high wire 50 floors up without a net.

brass, my soprano isn't quite so clear, yet x) - maybe some decade of years ago it could have been!

natural brasses are so fickle, I met a baroque trumpetist, he actually had no struggle with the instrument which I found interest.
