Yeah I'm using the v-7 and v-8 in my rga121. I'm looking at getting some bare knuckle pups for it. For the record looking back I don't think the emgs sounded good in a basswood body. I've had better results with mahogany.

@oakwestplayer i have a rg3ex1. i custom wired it with a duncan jb and jazz, separate volume pots, each push pull, so each pickup is coil split. ive actually found it quite tasty for numerous styles. regardless though, with proper adjustments these things play like a dream. (3/64th of an inch string height on mine .10 gauge strings, and no frett buzz whatsoever!

I can't find the RG3EX1 anywhere on the Ibanez site. I'm looking to buy an Ibanez and I'm kinda torn... what made you choose this model over a 370DX?

Stuck between the S-series (only 22 frets) or the 370, at the moment... but now I'm wondering where your guitar fits into the mix.

I think guitar center are the only ones selling this one

It comes with a flamed or quilted top. The biggest difference between this and the 370 is the tremolo and fixed bridge on mine. Also mine has two humbuckers while the 370 has 2 humbuckers and a single coil pickup.I personally don't use a tremolo and I knew I was going to throw some EMG's in mine so this one was for me. It's personal preference really. I hope this helps

It's a great $350 guitar! I bought it used and it needs to be set up professionally but I haven't had time. I use this as my travel guitar so I kinda abuse it, no problems whatsoever. The stock pickups are alright, the emg's kickass tho. Thanks for the comment!
