  • my face: O_O

  • lol

  • i'm still attracted to magica d'espell

  • sounds cool :d

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA SOUNDS SOOOO FUNNY IN JAPANESE

  • English translation (made to sing along): Always running in a hurry Easygoing Why don't you go rest a moment When this is over? You'll surely stumble Across a riddle Ducktales Your head's way up in the clouds Ducktales There's nothing that's impossible Ducktales W-W-Wait a minute! Watch yourself there Hey, who are you? You big scoundrel Have a dream all through the night Ducktales Mischievous happy-go-lucky Ducktales You know what you have to do Ducktales An adventure that never stops Ducktales
  • Sounds cool

  • Horrible.....

  • They say "Ducktales" in English because it's a proper name.......OK, I get that.

Now someone explain to me how there's a Japanese word for Duckburg........

  • That was different and the same all at the same time.

  • lol

  • ダークウィング・ダックも頼む 探しても日本語吹き替えが無い。

  • @AstronAstroll Knowing Japan's penchant for sexual humor, the title does seem heavily perverted

  • Translated literally, the Japanese name (Wanpaku Duck Yume Bouken) means "Naughty Duck Dream Adventure." :S

  • @AstronAstroll Oh how cultures can differ :P

  • @AstronAstroll In this context it's more likely to mean 'mischievous' though

  • Cool version. Though I cannot figure the meaning of some words.

    What is こけたら ねころべば?

  • @Oty3d こけたら (転けたら)Means "if we fall", while ねころべば (寝転べば) means "can we lie down"?

  • god this is like classic and i remeber watchign this as a child

  • What the hell is DYAK CHELLS? Can they not read their own alphabet? The subtitles spell 'dakku teiruzu'!

  • @ImagoCanis I think that it was their pronunciation of "Duck tales" that sucked.

Many of them have problems with the English language, you know.

  • @Medvjedu

Hence why I ask if they can read their own alphabet. Regardless, with all the loan words from english the Japanese language has, they should be able to slightly understand what the words are meant to sound like. Anyway, not that big of a deal.

  • @ImagoCanis Yeah, that's true.

  • @ImagoCanis Even with the katakana alphabets in front of you, there are some words which are just painfully hard to decipher. You'll understand what I mean if you've ever studied katakana.

Same goes for a native JP speaker trying to pronounce an English loan word. Sometimes if it's a word you've never seen before (and especially if you don't know the meaning of the word), you just have to hazard a guess at its pronunciation.

  • @Wakko2000

I've studied all three of the alphabets. That's why I said this. Not to mention I have a few friends from Japan (Okinawa; one of the prefectures least fluent in English) who, to me, sound fairly normal when they speak English. o____o

  • @ImagoCanis You know, for Japanese people English is a hard language. They can't pronounce all words so that we could really understand them. Try to speak Japanese yourself, I can tell you that it is not so easy after all.

  • @Jasppier its not easy to read, unless its in phonetic which is regular letters,

  • @Jasppier Language is easy. Problem is most people don't learn how to enunciate at all.

  • I like it in Dutch better but this is kinda cool

  • FUT SCHEDLs!!!! wuhuuuw

  • ducks hells!

  • Holy... its catchy in any language, damn... AWESOME cartoon. :D

  • Ducko tales is ah do numba' one...

  • in japanese it's funny XD

  • Yeaaaah nice song XD

  • 90s was best

  • DUCKAERU TARAZō

  • Is it... Mayumi Tanaka singing?

  • Судьба-судьбина... Мацона-цаца... ПРЯЧЬСЯ!!

  • Omdayss! It's still catchy even in Japanese :D <3

- In case anyone wants to sing to it.
  • @SilentStalkerX lol thanks for that ^^ and btw u should change the DUCKTALES for DUCKSHELLS hahaha thats wha i hear xD

  • @SilentStalkerX damn you... i sang it in japanese xD

  • Great xD

  • Now see, they keep the tune of our theme songs and just change the lyrics to their language, while english releases of anime either leave it in japanese, or make it a completely new song. Why can't we do this?

  • @hyliaman

    /watch?v=4fr3YZ0jCOc

The original JP version is called "Love Survivor"

  • @hyliaman Because the Japanese song sucks?

  • @AxelXGabriel

It's the same god damn thing but in a different language.

  • @hyliaman I was talking about when English changes the song.

  • @AxelXGabriel

I don't understand what you're saying, but im gonna take an educated guess that you don't like Japanese songs are turned into English... which rarely happens. The only examples I can think of are Sailor Moon and One Piece and they both sound fine to me. Every other anime either uses the japanese theme song, or just makes a brand new one with their own english Lyrics. ( We did get the awesome openings to pokemon and Dragonball Z this way though, so that's cool I guess... )

  • @AxelXGabriel Japan don't need disney they made DBZ what more can I say that was a true childhood for people who where born in the 80's and 90's

  • @nlRobertnl Nope, you're wrong. ;)

  • @Kennymacdougall ah well different opinions then:)

  • @nlRobertnl

True that :) Where I come from, DBZ wasn't well known in the 80s, only in the late 90s. To me tmnt, ghostbusters and thundercats defined the 80s along with some other familiar shows.

  • @Kennymacdougall yep I watched these programs to but when i saw DBZ for the first time I skipped the rest of the cartoons:P

  • @nlRobertnl LOL.. I liked the beginning, though Dragonball was my fav. I just love the japanese humor :P

  • @Kennymacdougall I see your from netherlands to. I never saw Dragon Ball on television only DBZ on television and yes I like the Japanese humor to of DB/Z they are very different compared with other nations.

  • @nlRobertnl DB was only in US, too bad it was never here. Yeah, Japanese humor is amazingly funny. What other Japanese shows do you watch? Man, I got to learn some of that language.

  • @Kennymacdougall Just DB,DBZ and DBGT altought I not really liked DBGT other Japannese animes I don't know but man o man They have some nice skills and humor:)

  • hmmmm...... i think the song in norwegian is best :P tumps up if you agree.

  • @gladiatorpus you should listen to the dutch version :)

  • I love all the old themes.^^ Japanese, Dutch, Russian, ....

  • This sounds funny XD

  • awesome i was expecting it to be different tune but they stayed true to it!

  • Awesome, the song never changed world wide :D

    Awesome music!

  • this theme is so great even japan did not change the melodie and used this theme, instead of a own music theme

  • wie geil ist das denn??? :-D

  • is this singer the voice actor of luffy from one piece? sounds a lot like her if you ask me

  • This song have more feeling than other country xD

  • heh i still think the dutch intro is better while i can even understand what they sing here XD

  • ahhhhhhh someone show this to the nostalgia critic

  • i didn't know it was dubbed to japanese too... so finland isn't far enough?

  • You're in Japan, hitting it up with the girls there,

Having a fun time, about to go to a party, when suddenly THIS pops into your head

    "Ducktales! Woohoo!"

And you go "OH COME ON!!! HERE TOO?!!"

  • @ShinyGaara65 Critic, right?

  • @ShinyGaara65 wtf

  • @ShinyGaara65 (Smirks) Nostalgia Critic?

  • DOG CHOW OOhhooo!

  • DUCK SHELLS!

  • @kc86er LMFAOOO! =)

  • needs moar woohoo

  • i love Duck Tales! I think it's so much more epic watching it in Japanese. So, haters can hate, ignorants too, but Japanese is the best version of anything Disney. :3 Japan + Disney = EPIC Disney!! (and <3)

  • @kUr0k0chan agreed, but american cartoons are mostly aimed towards the really young where as anime caters to older children/adults as well. Haven't watched it myself in japanese yet, but the lyrics are not quite the accurate translation.

loved the never-ending/never-stopping adventure at the end though :)

  • Whos the fat duck maid?

  • LMAO XDDDDDD

  • finland ver is better than japanse =.=

  • 0:46 DuckShells? :D

  • Sounds like duckshells to me!

  • 0:16 Nuts on a dog child?

  • Shit the woman who sings has almost same voice as the woman who sings the Norwegian dub. Is the Norwegian and Japanese subs related or WUT?

  • @SMGJohn i think the norwegian singer is the voices of the triplets actually lol XP

  • The People´s from Japan have funny voice :D so high^^

  • I like that they subbed the lyrics so you can sing-a-long :P

  • FuckTales

  • I would LOVE to hear the Pepper Ann theme in Japanese! This is really cool!

  • What the hell --- is a duckshell?

    Mega-lol.

  • lol

  • Japanese Disneysongs rock! 8D

  • x.D

  • kinda good :D much better then portugese

  • @eeye4eyee do you mean the version from brasil or from europe?

  • that rocks ^^

  • DUCK CHOWS! WOO-HOO!

  • I'm deciding on using this as my intro...

  • FDS game much?

  • where's the WHOO HOO!?

  • @ 0:22, LA coohee?

  • The woman singing sounds just like Luffy from one piece! XD

  • japanes is cool

    ich liebe japan

  • japaness duck is DUCK???

  • @videokolya haha, no; they were just keeping a phrase in engligh. That is an often and popular thing to do. Many hit Japanese songs have English lines in them; some are all in English or have English versions. HYDE is a perfect example of this.

  • AWESOMENESS XD

  • chotto not cyotto...

  • That sounds very strange!

  • as much as i love the fact that the japanese got to enjoy this classic i think they needed a better singer it sounds like they taught a motown singer japanese for it

  • Yes Duck Shells

  • duck tales in japanese......awesome :D

  • einfach nur geil ;-)

  • わんぱくダック夢冒険.... Japanisch ist so eine tolle Zunge :D

Japaner sind ein sehr sympathisches Volk!

  • are there any duck furfags?

  • Jene Leute, die sich lustig vorkommen, wenn sie "Dackschells" anstatt des richtigen "Duck Tales" hören, sollen in den Arsch gehen!

  • Hell yes- I hope people in Japan also enjoyed how f-ing great this show was.

  • when i clicked on this i was expected a ducktails anime lol

  • @AnthonyTheAwesome500

    And you found one.

  • @AnthonyTheAwesome500 ahahaha but with theses jap lyrics, it's looking like an anime really

  • @TiagoWakabayashi Well, their eyes are big enough.

  • @Rezkeshdadesh really xD

  • I heard "neko" in there. "Neko" means cat in japanese. Now what the hell is a cat doing in a duck cartoon's intro lol

  • @Kouma013 I think that "Neko" is a part of other word "Nekorobeba" at 0:07

    It means lying down.

  • @Salam811 Yea it is. I was just making a little fun outta it. Guess I totally failed lol

  • NORWEGIAN ONE!!!! <3 KAMAZAKI <3

BTW i drobbed my on my sis O.O

  • "Nazi EPA"

  • After hearing this you should understand why they have haiku instead of poems.

  • Lolz

  • Engrish at it's finest.

  • @SweetieChii What Engrish? The only thing they said in english was Duck Tales, and they said it properly lol

  • @UlquiorraZumaeta Actually, it sounds like they're saying duckshells not ducktales

  • How do you say,"Duck Tits",in Japanese?

  • @Xephon0930 xD lol Nostalgia critic fan I see? :D

  • looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

  • XD The Japanese version is kind of lackluster on the "Woo hoo" part.

    It's like, "DUCKTALES! woo hoo."

  • @Underdog121488 That's a good thing. The "Woo hoo!" part is a huge reason it NEVER LEAVES YOUR HEAD. EVER.

  • LMAO

  • the brasilian version was the better version of all

  • OMG ITS IN JAPANESE TOO ?!?!?!

  • @AngelGrillthefrench come on...japanese love disney. That's why we have kingdom hearts. BTW duck tales is rad and diserves all the fame.

  • @raystormx

its in every, its almos the best cartoon! even in serbian

  • i..i..i thought it was chatchy in English

  • I really like it how Japan actually kept to the song lyrics ( or as close as a translations as they could) and kept the beginning opening the same, instead of completely redoing the whole theme. Not like what they're doing now to some subs.

Then again, the US has rewritten beginning themes too to some Japanese shows. ;)

  • better than the English version. >:D

  • Ich liebe es :D

  • 0:14 It absolutely says nazi

  • @MinecraftDemon ... what? Seriously he says Tsumazuita :/ I CANNOT hear nazi in there and I'm surprised you could :/
