  • Would you let me download this video?

  • @33tato33

    Sure...

If you find your own way how to download it...

  • @MrLasla YOUR "UHMMMSS.... UHMSS.... " ARE DRIVING ME NUTS! LOL! I MYSELF DIDNT GET THE SMOKE WORKING!!!! LOLLL I followed everything!

  • Kösszi :)

  • xDDDDDDDDD i fucking shat myself when u said 22 jigabyte of data xD

  • Great tutorial! Thank you very much!)))

  • Hi, I was wondering if you knew any reasons for why my simulation is rendering really small? In the 3d view it looks fine but when I render it it looks like it's 1/4 of the proper size when the props are normal sized.

  • @TMiddlefinger Actually nvm I figured it out. For some reason you can't scale the cube in edit mode, only in object mode otherwise it renders as if the domain was still a 2x2x2 cube.

  • ideas why mine wont render out the smoke? it shows the smoke after pressing ALT + A, but when i render it it doesnt show the smoke but does show the emitter when it is enabled

  • @TheBlenderanimations

First watch the tutorial than read other comments

If you still have the problem... Than I'll help you

I just have not enough time to answer to that question every day :/

  • @TheBlenderanimations Don't edit the domain in Edit Mode, at any point. if you scale is scale it using "S" and the Either X,Y or Z. Then do everything in the video...

  • @TetsuyaShadow

Thats something so many people asked me already...

Please... just read some of the comments and try to solve your problem...

  • dude you got to help me, i got everything until 2:37 when we select the plane and click flow and when i play the animation it is just show some dot on the plane moving, not smoke

  • @eliteninjagod

Maybe you could solve the problem by moving the emiter more toward the center of the Domain^^

  • @MrLasla i try that and it didn't work too

  • @eliteninjagod

hm... its hard to say what it is :/

Save the file and try it again...

and if that won't work just watch the tutorial again

  • @eliteninjagod this happened to me too. its cuz i wanted a vortex effect so i put a vortex force field instead of a wind force field. and because i still dont know how to simulate a vortex, the same problem happened to me. so i think u should follow this tutorial step by step before u try something else like i did.

  • @eliteninjagod

Hello, i have the same problem than the one you have mentionned... now way to see any smoke but just stoupid dots at the same step. :) did you solve it ?

  • I found out ! the smoke preview rendering will not work in multiple view !

ctrl alt Q ! single view ! it works !

  • 7:12 How I get back to the editing screen you idiot ..

  • @MinecraftSkill

Hey... dont call me Idiot >:(

Yóu can do it by pressing Escape...

It is an advanced tutorial by the way... You dont have to watch it if you dont uderstand it...

  • @MrLasla

    GREATos TUTORIALos....!!!!

  • @mrSHAAP

    Thanks ;D

  • cool video

  • arron carter, the beiber of the early 00's

  • when i press render nothing comes up...

  • @ACRO7isawesome U must select ''Smoke High Resolution'' i think

  • @Crazymecrazy12 yea i did

  • @ACRO7isawesome then I dont know what to do... Maybe watch a basic smoke tutorial?

  • after u set the divisions to 64 i press alt a and i dont see any smoke until i move the plane

  • Hey!

Thanks for the Tutorial. Does someone know, if there is a possibility to stop all particle (smoke) movements? Because I want to create a nebula, but after all the smoke particles are moved on the correct position, all has to stop for the "real" animation part.

    ?

    Thanks! :-)

  • how could i make the fire follow something, like an airplane or somethin like that?

  • @toms900

    Follow?

    By using a force field....

Just hit Shift-A and add a force field... than change settings in the physic tab ;)

  • @MrLasla Well like its attached to the plane and as its flying the fires on it.

  • @toms900

I don't realy understand what you want...

Are you talking about an airplane as an obstacle? Than you need to set the object (airplane) in the physictab as an obstacle (add smoke => type obstacle)

Or do you mean an animated emiter?

Just animate the plane by keying with the "I" key and use force felds and the particle settings to control the smoke...

  • @MrLasla ahh ok thanks.

  • @MrLasla what he mean is.. how to make the smoke follow a plane, like if the plane was a car and smoke come out of the pipe while driving.

  • @NoobieLandCity

Just animate the particel emiter object and somulate...

  • Sorry if you've already answered this, but why is your simulation so fast? At 64 resolution it takes several seconds for EACH frame to compute, whereas in your video it's almost real-time. Do you have an insanely powerful processor or something?

  • @CapnDingo

    Yep ;D

    I think so^^

I have got an i7 core with 2.6 - 3.3 GHz (dualcore with hyper threding)

    And 4 GB Ram

    :P

  • OMG 10,000 VI3W5. omg L0L PL0X! im a retard

  • @cricket0140

    Omg ;D

I never thought that I would reach 10.000 that fast...

Thank you for watching my video ;D

    Hope you enjoied it :)

  • how do you Zoom the camera in 01:43?

  • @K0lozo

I think it was G - Midle Mouse Click

  • @K0lozo

with "Shift F" you can get more control

  • thx a lot for this ,.. i found it really nicely done ,.i cant believe thoses complaining ,. you can pause the freaking video anytime and look whats being done ! no need explaining everything ,..

  • it shows the smoke in the viewport but when i press f12 to render it the screen is completely empty....im using blender 2.57b

  • @vborg101

Did you watch the second part of this tutorial?

  • @MrLasla yup

  • @vborg101

Maybe you forgot to select the right domain objekt in the texture settings...

I can't realy help you like this...

I have to see your file

  • @MrLasla the domain object was a cube right? never mind ill just try again i guess ^_^

  • @vborg101

    yes^^

  • @MrLasla i found out the prob..apparently in the version i had (2.57) some other setting is changed to some other value by default

  • @vborg101

I'm having the same problem - did someone figure out how to fix this? Thanks

  • @SamHakes nope not yet sadly.....ive started modelling human meshes now instead

  • @SamHakes make sure under the domain color with the volume turn up teh volume and emission and those things

  • lol your english sux ahh just kiddin liek the tutorial

  • When you were setting the domain cube to Influence to E: 1.500.. You coudn´t se just see black area when I rending it.

  • @PeRziVeProduction

Did you wach the second Part?

  • mine wont show smoke when i render it shows the plain but not the smoke, help?

  • @kalzorath

Did you watch the second Part of the tutorial?

  • @MrLasla oh geez i didnt notice it was 2 parts, sorry x_x

  • @kalzorath

    No problem ;D

  • when i render the image all i see is the box i used for the domain

  • I had to turn up the 'emitter geometry' setting of the particlesystem to get any smoke, not sure why but it worked. (blender 2.57.1)

  • @bergsprekken123

I am glad you found a way...

    ;D

  • nevermind lol

  • when u first put the smoke on around 2:40 min, i put on flow but no smoke comes on? y is this?

  • @LeThalxBlood

Why are so many people asking me the same question :/

I can't help... I don't know enought about your problem...

Try to follow the tutorial step by step...

If there are still some questions... you can ask me ;)

  • errm when i set the plane to flow i play the animation and no smoke comes out !!!!

  • @jimbeans100

Please define your problem with more details...

    Or remake the Szene...

  • Comment removed

  • @jimbeans100 i mean 02:20

  • @MrLasla The reason no smoke comes out is because your plane is too close to the domain, move it up a bit and it should work.

  • Wich button do you press at 1:35 ? :P

  • @OnlyRandomShit

    hm...

I think Ctrl + Alt + 0 (on the numPad)

    ;D

  • @MrLasla Thank`s :D

  • @OnlyRandomShit

    No Problem ;D

  • Und 1:35 :P

  • 1:27 what do you press ? :P

  • @OnlyRandomShit

On the numPad press 1 or 3 (for front or side view ;)

  • Hey, schau mal! Ungarische Münze!

  • @MrFSandor

  • wäre schön gewesen, wenn du erklärt hättest, warum du was gemacht hast

  • @DiedFromBrainfreeze

    Ja... Du hast recht...

aber ich bin daweil noch SEHR schlecht in English und es währe für mich so und so kaum möglich...

  • @MrLasla war trotzdem sehr hilfreich :D

  • wäre schön gewesen wenn du erklärt hättest, was du gemacht hast

  • hi, my name is Vitor and I'm not speak English,but.. you could tell me why this:

    - when I check the "initial velocity" and I go into "Domain" option is no longer selected (phycics menu / Smoke)

  • @VitorMiguell

My english is not very good too :D

Did you select the domain after cheching "initial velocity" ?

You have to swich back to the flow objekt (by selecting it in the 3d View)

Hope that this is the answer to your problem... If not... please describe with more details...

  • @Tobestar10

    How strong is your wind?

  • there is way too many things that can go wrong with this

  • @MrWierdguy5707

    what let you think so???

  • HOpe you will make more blender tutorial videos

  • @ghanmy

I would like to create more but my english is realy bad and I have a lot of things to do at the moment...

But if you have any idea for a good tut... let it hear me :)

  • I dont get any smoke in the render.... i can see it when i press alt+a but there is nothing when i render

  • @spazymagnet

    Look at this: 05:35

    Was that your problem?

  • i dont get skoke :(

  • @mamamaster2

    I'm sorry...

    What is your result?

  • @MrLasla just no smoke more not

  • can u give as the .blend file plz ?

  • @MrGta4000

I would upload it but I can not find the blend...

    Sorry

  • Thank you for the great tutorial.

  • You are probably the worst teacher ever

Im not hating im just saying try and evalutate evrything you do it helps the viewers understand you.

At one point in the video you just played with the settings and dint even explain

  • @Mutuceba

You are right Mutuceba but the problem is that I´m 14 and my English very bad.

I don´t know how to explain it.

Thank you for giving your oppinion about the tutorial.

  • @MrLasla

I am so sorry if i sounded mean i didnt mean to at all.

  • @Mutuceba of course you did, you fucking piece of shit

  • Yeah, on the first texture you should turn the pink bar to a clear white, otherwise the render will look totally wrong.
