  • Which Record is this marvelous track off of?

  • @HiddenTruth666 the track is Dragons and Fables, by Progressive Rock band, HAWKWIND

  • @HiddenTruth666 It's from the 12" EP entitled "The Earth Ritual Preview", sometimes listed as "Night of the Hawks". I think it's from 1984.

  • hentai geeks digging space rock. Good god.

  • I have one of those posters! The Key to Eternity @2:44 Sweeeeeeeeeet

  • to be honest I came for the ass

  • Not gonna lie, the thumbnail helped me pick this video out.

  • This song makes me want to go drive a truck and pimp slap an unruly prostitute!

with a double album ov tyranasaurus rex..... mint b4 t.rex

  • ive got the original space ritual on vynil. so

  • I think all of the "Chronicles" songs sound best on the Live Chronicles set recorded live at the Odeon. They have a faster, much smoother feel.

  • 0:22 made my day

  • @Ombra1983 Keep your monitor screen clean _(◣_◢)┌∩╮

  • This is a cool track

  • The starting part till 0:17 is perfect for drag racing in a 69 challenger or a 2003 Jaguar XK convertible then after that, it is green lights and away you go, i can see the desert heat on the horison when I listen to this song in my car on a hot summer day (even though I live in Canada)!!!!

  • I remember reading something from Michael Moorcock where he said the average SF novel embodies the attitude of the average 14 year old boy towards women....

Mind, doesn't quite explain how similar images to the ones on here found their way onto the covers of a few of his books.

  • thanks for the heavy metal art.

  • spoiled the pics making them all wobbley

  • @SunboXUK I so LOVED 'Night of the Hawks'= burn me a copy!! LOL

  • Love the Hawks, amazing imagery

  • Cool video

  • Hahah, seeing the comments above, I decided to go through my Hawks collection and have a look at where it came from. Night of the Hawks was the EP, I have it on a collection called Mighty Hawkwind Classics 1980-1985 (which probbly made up the second disc of the above mentioned compilation). Used to hunt down this stuff with some passion in my teens and twenties, good times...:)

  • This is probably my favourite Hawkwind song! Thanks for sharing the titillating art too!!!

  • I like the sweet, magikal danger, the dreamily ethereal or ethereally dreamy quality of this video. I like these maidens and their lords, especially the maidens at 3'00''. Feel the danger.*Dream* X

  • There is a lot of arse in this video.

  • at 0:21 YOU are tormenting me with the lady "derriere"........ ahhh Im getting hot here...

  • Just heard of this fantastic band. I am very grateful to not go any longer without knowing who this band is.

  • hahahha 0:50 its a native guaraní legend

    wtf ?

  • sounds like judas priest ...halford on vocals

  • @eliaslemme It kind of does but this is before Priest. I love Priest. I just heard of this band and I am already hooked. However Nazareth is my all time favorite band.

  • love the art work. Do you remember who you used for this?

  • You've got a thing for arses, don't you? :P

  • @BetterTasteThanU Apart from trying to wind people up, why are you watching things you obviously have no interest in? are you a complete twat or are there parts of the course you haven't finished yet?

  • Fk i found it . Amazing song. Listen to the video song its a lot better

  • Fk i found it . Amazing song

  • This song is so beautiful it makes me want to cry, it kind of tells a story

  • Beautiful and imaginative artwork. This is lovely, but the music is only so-so...

  • This is the studio version for sure, the Live Chronicles version is a little more lively (pun intended :)

  • @sammycoin Cheers mate hadnt heard that for years great vid too ;D

    ALWAYS AND FOREVER HAWKWIND !!!!!

  • OMG another brilliant hawkwind song!! Sweet! Hadn't heard this one b4. Nice eye candy too :P

  • A Huw song, what a really genuine guy Huw is too

  • them girls got great backsides...hehehehehehehe

  • FANTASTIC!!!

  • whoa ! I like them lasses !

  • SunboXUK is correct.

  • IMHO, the up-tempo version of this from 95's "Live Chronicles" is much better.

  • Love this track well done matey

  • Another great video. Thanks.

Yeah, 'Pantherius' says the stuff you sent him still rocks. He sends a long overdue thanks, and says keep it up.

  • This song did not appear on Chronicle of the Black Sword until it was added as an extra track in the AtomHenge release in 2009. It did appear on the LIVE album "Live Chronicles" (that's where this is from) which was later re-released as "Chronicle of the Black Sword (Live) All time classic song no matter what.. =D

  • This is a Huw Lloyd Langton song from 1985s Chronicle of the Black Sword, the bass player was indeed Aland Davey

  • Comment removed

  • I think the bass player was Alan Davey.

    I may be wrong.

  • Does anyone know if Lemmy played on this track? I thought he helped out around the time of this 12", though the bass doesn't sound like his style?

  • If you find tabs for this song or if you know where to find them please tell me.

  • if you find lortabs or if you know where to find them please tell me

  • @Derveregun PM me

  • Which album contains this song?

  • Golden Void 1969-1979, disc #2.

  • @sammycoin lol, 69 - 79 ? must be a miracle for an 85 song to make it on that album then rofl

  • Never the less, that is the CD I got it off of. Pink Cover, 2 discs. Includes ValiumTen, Kings of Speed alternate version. I packed away all the cd;s. Gone Digital. Sorry if my info is not correct, but I just post what I have.

  • hehehe, ive gone digital too, funny really, ive gone from vinyl and chrome tape to plastic to digital in 20 years, back then hawkwind had been fore-warning us all of a digital future for the previous 10years or so, now we all so willingly jump head 1st into the digital age they warned us of lol

  • @sammycoin

FYI, it's from 'Live Chronicles.' 1985.. Thanks for posting it, man.

  • @FirstLandingOnMedusa

I may be wrong. Memory says its from live chronicles.. someone said its the studio version. I think I'm right, but I'm first to admit my memory isn't very reliable these days.

  • @sammycoin

It is all part of that Eternal Champion thing. What is time?

I think that this originally appeared on Live Chronicles.

  • @LordoftheHornets It was a bonus track. wwwDOTprogarchivesDOTcom/albumDOTasp?id=4047

  • @sammycoin Υour comment is 1 year old but nevertheless i must write you that Dragons & Fables is not from Golden Void...Because this is a compilation. Dragons & Fables is on b side of their rare ep named ''Night Of The Hawks - The Earth Ritual Preview'' (with Lemmy singing on this song too). It was realeased from FlickKnife Records (HawkWind label if i remember well), which is for years now closed. They released it right after the magnificent lp ''Chronicles Of The Black Sword'' album. Check it.

  • You can find it on the 12 of Night Of The Hawk"

  • ...Chronicle of the Black Sword also has this song - the 2 disk version anyways. . . not sure about the single disk one. I checked on the Wikipedia - it was on of the bonus tracks on the version released by Atomhenge. I had the CD . . . but now I live in Japan so I ended up leaving it behind in USA.

  • @Derveregun
