I've heard many people say that Serious Sam is mindless. I do not think this is the case. Every weapon has a purpose, and the fact that you can carry all of them means that you have to actively pick which weapon you need to use for each encounter, as opposed to most games these days that either make every weapon suitable for every situation or just give you certain weapons right before certain encounters, which implies that the developers think you're too retarded to think for yourself.
