I had aToonces special that I had taped. wish i still had it. It also had a skit called "Zack and Mondo from way way beyondo" and a skit where Abe Lincoln builds a time machine and goes back in time to try to kill John Wilkes Booth, but he failed at all 3 attempts.
I watched every week with the hopes that a Toonces episode would come on. The skits were hilarious. My favorite was when Toonces's "people" were abducted by aliens. Toonces runs to Sheriff John Goodman for help, and ends up crashing not only the squad car, but also the flying saucer of the aliens (that turn out to be friendly.) I guess the use of a real Tabby, a bad fake Tabby, the "B Movie" crash clips, and the cheesiness and silliness of it all is what made it so amuzing.
toonces is very cool i llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee toonces
You gotta fucking be kidding me? They actually made a TV show out of TOONCES?! The cat can barely hold together a 15-second sketch, much less a 30 minute show. Somebody deserved to be fired over that one.
I recall only one episode of Toonces ever airing. It was actually very funny. It played out as several 2 to 5 minute skits and had some original segments not involving Toonces like Coach Dobbs, and Zactu and Mondo from Way Way Beyond-O. There were several Toonces sequences including a very funny Terminator 2 parody.
I don't see how the show could have gone on and maintained the level of quality of the one episode. Would love to see it again after all these years.

Is that for real?
well, that demonstrates that everything that go solo from SNL is crap, with the exception of "wayne's world".
There are things that just shouldn't be longer than 5 mins sketches

Oh my! The show looks ridiculous. I'd really love to see it. If you or anybody else has it, please let me know. XD

This for real? If it is, why didn't I know about it?! I would have been watching every week!

It was real, for a very short time. It came from a series of sketches on Saturday Night Live. The sketches were funnier than the show.
