really nice. I loved how you simply sang it in your way and that you did not try to mimic Robert Plant. What I find and that truly makes a singer stand out is when they attempt a cover tune and that they do it in their own voice. Thank you for the heads up on your artistry. Best wishes.

For years I did this song as a bad Robert Plant imitation, but I eventually learned to sing it my own way. I helps that I once heard Ray Charles singing it.

I started playing guitar at 15 (Dec '89), which means I really suck for how long I've been playing. :)

I sang my first solo at Oakland Christian Church's 1982 Christmas Cantata when I was 8 (I still remember the solo perfectly). Although singing really predates my memory; my mom says I used to hum before I could talk.

And my "bragging point" would be that ex-governor Mills E. Godwin went to my church (I had no idea who he was then), and he gave me a dollar every time I sang. :)
