I am so happy someone has put this rare footage up of the Gibb brothers. It was great. I just love the Bee Gees. There talents are so underestimated. They have contributed a lot to the music industry. Sad to see such tragedy in their life's. But that can be said for all singing greats.
My father was the guitar player and the singer in my family. I know virtually nothing about music except what I heard. Thank you so much for the clarification.
In a couple different interviews, Barry said he tuned his guitar to D. He also said something about learning a Hawaiian style of play. I found both these interviews on youtube.
Barry tunes his guitar in an open E . He is left handed and it's easier to chord it . It's probably the way he learned to play. I am enjoying all of these videos of the bee gees. I just love these guys . They are such talented
Songwriters , musicians, and vocalists even separately but together they are magic. They never have gotten the credit that they deserved...miss mo...hopefully Barry and Robin will continue to write and perform. Would like to see Barry, Robin and theirs and Maurice's
I had a senior moment. I believe you're right ... or G... my husband is a guitar virtuoso... he tunes his in "g" for certain songs.... I play also.... I used to play music with a girl who was left handed..... she chorded like a right hander.... But however, Barry tunes it., it sounds wonderful to me... I'm 55... I believe I still have some 45's !!!!
This is the first time I saw them sing more than the chorus of Lollipop. They do a great job of it. I'm glad my father was an inspiration to one of the World's greatest singing groups. He co-wrote Lollipop. Julius, Jr.
If I were there sitting close to them, I'd ask Robin like this : Robin, you're so cute and dreamy , will it be okay to kiss you?

The song Barry references at 1:20 is "Lizzie Borden". No, you can't chop your Poppa up in Massachusetts. Not even if it's planned as a suprise.
