@thehivesboy basically, i'm not saying you don't like radiohead, but you don't know much about them, parklife is an album by blur. It's fantastic, but not by radiohead mate. Sorry. You need to get out more, or just pay more attention when listening to Blur/radiohead. Peace.
I didn't say that I wanted them to. I'm just saying that R.E.M. went back to their simple rock basics.
Now I respect for Radiohead that they want to stand out of the pack by being experimental which what makes them famous and unique, but in every band's life time they return to their roots eventually to look back on where they started like Aerosmith went to their blues roots for one album and then moved on.
If bands like that can return to their younger days, then eventuall R.H. would too
i doubt radiohead plays the music they do just so be unique or to be distinguished--they are being themselves, doing whatever the hell they want. To be honest, when i hear something from in rainbows and then listen to this song i go "oh my god this is just deafening, pointless noise"
As much as I love the experemental/artsy Radiohead, all I have to say is this:
WHEN IS RADIOHEAD JUST GOIN' TO MAKE ANOTHER STRAIGHT UP UNCOMPLICATED FULL BLOWN ROCK RECORD!
I mean R.E.M. has just released a kick ass, back to basics album "Accelarate"! Why can't Radiohead go back to their Punk/Post-Grunge roots at least for ONE mesly album?
R.E.M. went back to basics because they realized that their previous two or three albums were generally sub-par, especially "Around the Sun." They were generally not enjoying being a band. Plus, they were still trying to figure out a direction after Bill Berry left. They realized they were simply better at guitar-oriented "short, fast songs" as they put it. Radiohead isn't searching for direction or trying to rebound from a couple weak albums, and theyre not itching to play any PH songs touring
every tried downloading shared files? Anyways, just purchase it online. And 20 bucks is worth it for a cd/vinyl album. You know, theres a vinyl that comes with the album right? Im surprised you dont have In Rainbows yet. Its amazing, simply my favorite Radiohead album since Pablo Honey, yes I actualy like Pablo Honey.
Btw...since my time of posting I bought all their other ones as well, but my least favorite so far has to be Kid A...I just don't like the sound they were going for...
Amazing

There hasn't be a single unsuccessful Radiohead album, they have always sold, and frankly they have been consistently brilliant imo.
