I haven't got a problem with hardcore dancing but I find a lot of the gigs I go to, you get a lot of young kids trying to enjoy themselves with their own little pits yeah they look like prats but whatever then some big headed dimwits come in and start flailing their arms around like they've been taken over by god in some gospel church. And they seem to think everyone with hair past or near their eyebrows is scene etc. Enjoy the music your way but dont let it fuck up other peoples experience!

Hardcore is aggressive and until recently was underground as Fuck, the internet helped that spread, I remember seeing this band with literally about 20 kids at the venue and they opened for a dumb mosh metal band called cdc, now they are huge. Which is a great thing. I just wish faggot fucking kids and these dumb trends amongst hardcore scenes would stop. It's called hardcore for a reason when you go to a show for the first time and every other time you should be scared, especially being new.

Its not about hitting people, youre right. The norm is that you make space for yourself before throwing down, preventing you from hitting others, its not hostile, its just a way of releasing as much energy to the music as possible in a way that doesnt involve sweaty ass moshers rubbing up against you. The bands encourage two stepping and throwing down. I saw the Ghost Inside a couple of months back and they said on stage "two step with me!" and the singer stated doing it.
