  • Bronco fan right here, and i must say excellent determination on watson, most people dont even try now a days. im not a big fan of the patriots but this right here is a great play that he made. great determination, great heart, and great player.

  • respect

  • Love it. His lil bro goes to my school RHHS. Lehts go

  • That is an amazing effort. That's all that needs to be said.

  • 13 people must have tried steal Watson's wallet.

  • Great hustle by Watson, but Denver's #25 was sleeping.. he should have spotted Watson a lot earlier; but that what's makes this play great..

  • Watson is a fast guy

  • Do I see Anton Chigurh in this video? 0:31

  • Comment removed

  • hahaha gottemmmm

  • Even Baley said it was a touchback

  • I hate the Patriots, but props to Watson for the effort.

  • HE PUT HIS TEAM ON HIS BACK

  • Still a touchback.

  • Wasn't it a touchdown saving tackle?

  • @SocietyisODD Yes and should've been a touchback, but shit happens lol.

  • Great hussle. Looks like Watson went through Bailey and out the other side.

Wasn't there a game where a guy was showboatin' on his way to a touchdown, held out the ball and it was slapped out of his hand before crossing the line? Anybody know what I'm talking about?

  • @61Slughi The guys name was Leon Lett. He played for the Dallas Cowboys.

  • i watched that game it was heartbreaking .. but that hit made it a little better!!

  • it was the blockers fault, the guy in front of champ just turned around and let watson run right by, but champ shoulda been running just a little harder

  • at 1:58 Watson is 45 yards from the sideline and 92 yards from the endzone where he eventually makes the tackle. Pythagoras shows sqrt((45^2) + (92^2)) = 103 yards. Watson ran 103 yards. The longest side of a right triangle is NOT the other two sides added together.

Bailey ran about 103 yards also. Still an impressive play by Watson nonetheless.

  • From where he is at 1:58 on the video, Watson only ran 103 yards not 120 or whatever you guys think. Pythagoras proves it.

  • 15! ... 10!.... 5!.... NOPE!... CHUCK TESTA!

  • even though i hate the patriots i gotta give my props to watson on this play!

  • That was baileys fault ... you never slow down until you are in the endzone ... he got too comfortable but nonetheless, good hustle by Watson. Champ almost got tripepd up which slowed him down too. Dunno if it went out of bounds in the endzone, either way great play none the less.

  • i could be wrong here.. not a rule specialist but couldnt watson just have grabbed te ball out of his hands? bailey didnt even see him coming? maybe he just wanted to concuss him

  • @BigEasy2828 why dont you sprint 120+ yards and grab the ball then? He totally thought "oh im gonna concuss this guy" when he started runnining from the opposite side of the field.... Not to mention he was just trying to save the td. What if he whiffed on the ball and champ gets in? Then people would probably bitch about how he whiffed on the tackle and didnt stop the td.

  • @BigEasy2828 He's not going to be able to do that at full speed with just a couple yards before Bailey gets into the endzone. He *could* have, by the rules, were it possible for him to do so. It really should have been a touchback and New England ball by those same rules.

  • lol lol lol 15, 10, 5 will he get there?.... BOOM

  • this almost makes me want to cry...beautiful effort. and i can't imagine the feeling by watson afterward knowing he stopped champ bailey

  • watson was haulin ass

  • The angle at 1:58 just made me laugh. Great play!

  • im a broncos fan but that guy has heart.

  • 2:44

"Then I ran into the ref." LOL

  • yep glad we got gronkowski and hernandez now lol. thanks for the tackle watson bout the only thing you did for us

  • @patriotsdynasty12189 Nice job left guard for absolutely blowing your assignment

  • @thodal2000 left tackle* Tom Ashworth was our starter...enough said.

  • No such thing as moral victories

  • if you really look, he was in the endzone.

  • @ItBeFear if you really look he let go of the ball before he actually put his foot in...

  • die-hard bronco fan. watched it live and prayed to tebow they didnt call touchback out of the endzone on the fumble. admire watson so much for his determination

  • @miz000zou7 Nevermind the fact that you're a fake christian praying to a mortal man (false idol), but were you really praying to him when he was 18 years old? He wasn't even playing for the Gators yet...

  • @analogWeapon Right, he wasn't making a joke or anything. Holy crap (not implying that crap is a false idol)...

  • @tamupatriot Sorry. My Tebow hatred got the better of me. I apologize. :D

  • "Pissed off Broncos fans disliked this"?

They scored a touchdown on the very next play, you retards.

  • GLad to have him on the Browns.

  • this play will be in my beart till the day i die.

  • funny thing is the broncos scored on the next play

  • @kmaier24 wow. they scored on a 1st and 1? amazing!

  • did 09msa just say that manning doesn't make bonehead throws in big games? Ty Law picked him off 3x in playoffs son!!! Pick 6 in SB v NO....there is a highlight film of picks just v Pats....ur credibility is shot...NEXT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That's just sheer desire at its finest right there

  • just did the math, bailey ran a total of 100 yds, watson ran a total of 99.8 yds. only thing is watson didnt start running till bailey was at the 2, oh and bailey got his sh*t pushed in

  • @foyboy07 How do you figure? Watson was on the other side of the field at the same yard line. Essentially, he ran the same distance than 90% of the fields width.

  • @foyboy07 wait nevermind. But Watson started running near instantly. But because he was on the other side he would have ran about an extra 10 yards. Even still, it's amazing to catch Champ and save the touch down.

Fun fact: my name is Ben Watson. I brag about this all the time, LOL!

  • @RenigmaX 10 yards? Try 30-50 extra yards!

  • @clayg80 Bruschi said 120 yards, and considering Champ was in the touchdown zone and Watson was on the 10...

It would have taken Champ 105 yards and Watson 90 if they were both running straight. The field is 100 from TD zone to TD zone, and 50 odd wide. Ben is about 12 yards in, so if he ran vertical than horizontal it would be around 130 yards, but diagonal isn't that exact measurement. But yeah, it would be like 120.

  • @RenigmaX Done This AngleAt School Today Using Pythagorus, 84.1M Champ Ran, 1055.4m Ben Ran

    <3

  • @RenigmaX 105.4

  • @foyboy07 It Was 105Metre Watson Had To Run, Bailey Ran 84.1Metre Done t In Mathematics Today

  • that looked like a touchdown he hit the boundary thing

  • BAILEY FUMBLED INTO THE END ZONE

  • @rchammer90 I'd disagree with this but Patriots know how to look at the video...

  • DGD!!

  • the broncos defense on that play are the only dislikes

  • Probably one of the best Hustle tackle I ever seen

  • I'm talking "get video of their walk thru" prepared... lol.. J/K

  • thats crazy

  • But what the heck do I know, except damn near everything!.. lol..

  • Isn't it supposed to be touchdown saving tackle lol

  • see the skycamera 1:13, i channel surfed one day and came across the long version of this show on an nfl network channel, and the first view they showed of the play was from that camera, and you never saw watson til the very last second at impact. i had never seen the play before so i didnt know what was gonna happen. and i got chills. greatest thing ive ever seen i wish nfl didnt hoard rhose camra views

  • This is literally my favorite play of all time. I'm a Vikings fan.

  • watson is fast 2:00

  • belichick forgot about the games where they watched the other teams practice tapes...oh wait that would be too many games

  • Wanna know why this play isnt even good? Because the broncos still scored. All waston did was let more time slip by, fucking idiot. He didnt make a difference at all. Wasted energy.

  • @metathus How does the action which follows impact what kind of play it was whatsoever?

  • @Darling137 Because, denver still scored. So really, what was the point of chasing him down? Whether bailey ran it in, or denver just ran it in on the next play, they still scored. If it was a touchback, then yeah it would have made a difference. But its like, all you did was delay the inevitable.

  • @Darling137 Also, if bailey doesnt slow way up, watson fag doesnt get close to him.

  • @metathus Oh we're going the 5th grade route? What should be my response? If Brady doesn't underthrow, Bailey fag doesn't get a pick? Good interception on Bailey's part and good effort on Watson's.

  • @Darling137 Fuck you man, get over the fact that the pats lost. Just a butthurt pats fan is what you are.

  • @metathus Backatcha. Got over it just about five years ago, palsy. Based on metathus logic, why would anyone bother arguing this: Denver still lost to the eventual SB winners anyway. To quote a jackass "fucking idiot. Didn't even make a difference at all. Wasted energy." Sounds like it still bothers you though. I just got into this discussion to see why you couldn't give credit where credit was due. Now I know.

  • @Darling137 Dude, I am not a fan of either team. Shut the fuck up, I am done arguoing with a retard. Honestly, why such anger over my comments, just shut the fuck up and move on with life. Thats what I am going to do. I am walking way. Dont bother replying because I am not watsing my time on such a trivial subject such as this. Unlike you, I have a life outside of youtube.

  • @metathus Oh no! I'm being yelled at on the internet! Hey bud, you're the one who came out saying something like "Wanna know why this play isnt even good?" No, sir, nobody wants to know that because it's asinine on its face. I'm the angry one? You started calling people names and then, bravely, threatening me on my profile (telling me to shut up...really?) All I said it was a good video and good play. Don't tell me you're not going to respond, just do it.

  • @metathus luls. What an idiot.

  • @metathus if baileys not a arrogant prick he doesnt slow up

  • @metathus yeah, I realize Denver still scored. Has nothing to do with his effort on this play though. What was the point of chasing him down??? Uh, to stop him from scoring. The defense subsequently did not, but he did. Nothing in sports is inevitable, that's why they start each play. I really think you're missing the point. If you want to say this play was inconsequential, yeah you can...with 20/20 hindsight. But it's still, to use your word, a "good" play.

  • @metathus you're fuckin retarded. at the time you dont know if the broncos would have scored, why give up on a play when you have the chance to help your team

  • @metathus You have no clue on effort, sports, teamwork...this is one of the greatest plays in football history and if the refs got it right, they would have determined that Bailey fumbled the ball thru the endzone resulting in a touchback for the Patriots....Wouldn't want you on my team.

  • Champ Bailey is a great cornerback maybe he is in the top 10 of all times

  • Perfect example of why to keep your head on a swivel...cause you just never know

  • press 9

  • this play still gives me the chills

  • if i had to pick the fastest tight end 5 years ago it would have been ben watson

  • Ben Watson, one of the smartest players to ever play in the NFL.

  • ben watsons so good. new england fucked up by not using him properly

  • 2:15 "DAMN! I Didn't even see that fool! I didn't even...that fool....Damn!"

  • lorenzo you are a dumbass. They challenged the call and in slow mo, the replay showed that the ball crossed just outside the pylon so the ruling is Denver ball at the 1. That was great effort by Watson on the play but the Broncos won the game by 14

  • cheap shot more like it

  • Two Georgia Bulldogs (Bailey, Watson) showing great athleticism.

  • touchback!!!!! ahhhhhhhh come on so close

  • Let me throw some facts you guys ways that are talking shit about New Englanders and Tom Brady..2 MVPs in 3 Years...3 SuperBowls in 4 years..Best Quarterback Ever in almost everyones Eyes and hes like 34 years old..will end his career with atleast 3 more MVP award and a few more super bowls...and oh yah..best record for any QB in the league..im thinking he can hold montanas lunch..Montana had Jerry Rice for most of his Superbowls..whos Brady got?..Welker? a few good tight ends..yahh get it right

  • They still scored so really, it wasnt even a great play. All it did was delay the inevitable.

  • explain yourself David!

  • I remember watching this game and knowing the rules for the game if he was hit and the ball was loose before he crossed the goal line it has to be a fumble into the inzone which should of resulted into a touchback bad officiating of course this was in denver where you cant even breathe the refs were so shocked they didnt even know what to call but people who know this game sometimes better than the refs all knew they got this wrong BAD BAD CALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!

  • @lorenzoatwell32 Wrong...

  • the incorrect call was made. this should've been a touchback

  • eddy ford hit him?!?!? eddy ford!?

  • And I'm sorry, but all you Pats fans, on here, glorifying one of the worst passes Brady has ever made, just because Benjamin Watson showed a little hustle, is truly pathetic.. It shows how completely clueless New Englanders are about the game..

  • @roo7227 a little hustle? it doesn't take a pats fan just to realize how much of great play this was. this is whats missing in the nfl today.

  • @eclipsesf1racer Watson made a really nice play, but come on, man.. This play cost the team it's season, and it was a horrific decision by Brady.. Let's talk about what really matters, people, instead being total homers..

  • @roo7227 its about teaching kids coming up to always give 100 percent effort u fkn loser. if this was any team it should still be an example of hustle and pride.. you clearly no nothing about sports

  • @09msa And that's a terrific lesson.. I was actually a hustling MFer as an athlete, and talented, too, but undersized.. But that's not the point I'm trying to make.. I'm talking about the "supposed" second coming of Joe Montana with yet another moronic pass with pressure in his face, and NE fans totally disregarding it to jock on Ben Watson's effort, which didn't make a difference, anyways!.. Oh, but you'll be sure and tell us how Brady is the greatest QB that's ever lived... Yeah, right!.. lol

  • @roo7227 well no offense but brady and rodgers are the best right now and brady has rings, stats, and the first unanimous mvp (most "valuable" player") and has been successful throughout his entire career... hes had a winning season every year and put 50 tds in one season.. idk what else you could want from a QB... and if he wins 1-2 more titles he ll be telling people like you to suck it.

  • @09msa Well, once again, allow me to demonstrate how much I know about the subject... Roger Staubach is the only QB in league history that won a second SB (in Tom's case, 4th) after a 5 year gap from his previous SB win... And this will be Tom's 7 season since his last SB victory.. And I wouldn't hold my breath with that defense.. lol..

  • And if you wanna know what I want from a QB... How about one that doesn't throw it up for grabs, and knows how to eat the friggin ball, in a 10-6 game late in the 3rd Quarter.. That would be a nice start!..

  • @roo7227 so ur talking about one game and say hes not that good.. so i guess peyton manning isnt good either because he lost playoff games... and i guess that goes for elway and montana who lost playoff games too... u make absolutely no sense

  • @09msa He made the same exact gaffe in Super Bowl 38, when he chucked it up for grabs on 3rd and 10 from the Panthers 19 yard line, with a 5 point lead with 6:30 left in the game.. Once again, overload blitz and Brady chucks it up for grabs, instead of just eating the ball and letting his HOF kicker make it an 8 point game with 6 minutes left.. The panthers picked it off and scored on an 86 yard bomb to Mushin Muhammed, 3 plays later.. 22-21, Panthers..

  • @roo7227 yea and then he made the most important throw with 14 sec left to deion branch down the sideline to get vinatieri in range to win the game.. the guy won mvp of that game lol.. i see what ur saying but ultimately he gets the W because of his plays with time about to run out. its a moot point

  • @09msa It's not a moot point.. If Brady has all day to throw, he's the greatest QB of all time, and when he gets constant pressure, he plays like Kerry Collins.. He's a system QB who is a complete statue in the pocket.. You mentioned Aaron Rodgers, earlier... I would take Rodgers over Brady 6 days a week, and twice on Sundays.. That guy is a real quarterback.. And if you think Tom Brady is ever gonna win another SB, then you're delirious..

  • @roo7227 ok well then why did kerry collins not win a big game ever? dont tell me he didnt have talent. Brady won a championship with troy brown and david patten as his top receivers. give me a break moron. What did aaron rodgers do before last year? you jump to the gun because he won last year and now hes the best ever... umm did u not see brady in the 2 min drill against dallas last week? 8-9 and wins the game. and statue? watch the vikings game from last year when he spins and throws a TD..

  • @09msa I never said Aaron Rodgers was the best ever... I said I'd take him over Brady, any day, and twice on Sundays.. The viewpoint that is completely skewed is yours, cause you think Brady is the greatest, which is ridiculous.. And therefore, since i would take Rodgers over Brady, I must believe Rodgers is the GOAT.. The point is, Rodgers has a bigger skill set than Brady, and is a better QB, period.. As is Roethlisberger, Manning, and Brees..

  • @roo7227 I bet Roethlisberger, Brees, and Manning are better than Brady and Aaron's better than all of them combined. Aaron Rodgers is for damn sure the #1 QB in the NFL.

  • @Trainking922 I know all 4 that I have mentioned have won a SB since the last time Brady won one, so take that for what it's worth.. lol, shit, Brady would have ended up crippled behind the Steelers Oline, and Roethlisberger won a SB with them!.. 2, Actually, and played in a 3rd..

  • @roo7227 That A-Rod beat him in! XD Aaron's the best for sure. He's thrown A-TON of completed passes, thrown the most TD's, and has thrown the least amount of Int's. That's the kind of stats you would want to have if you want to be known as the best QB in the NFL. I see Aaron being named the 2011 NFL MVP in the near future and after that, being named Super Bowl MVP for the 2nd consecutive year! He's the best for sure. This guy who thinks Brady is the best is a complete dumb ass to think that.

  • Respond to this video... All you guys do is hate on the guy either bc he plays for a boston team or because we usually beat the piss out of ur team. No QB can be great without time to throw the football idiot.. its not like rodgers makes throws on the run every play.. thats so dumb.. so by ur logic chad pennington or joey harrington could replace brady and win a ring.. how did cassell do in 08 against good teams? San diego, indy, miami (at the time).. All were losses.

  • @09msa Not all QBs completely fall apart when they get hit, like your guy..

  • @roo7227 you should probably watch more football.. he was hit all day against dallas and still won the game with a 2 minute drill at the end where he was 8-9 going 70 + yds leaving no time for dallas to mount a comeback.. or how bout when he threw the pick in superbowl 38. still came back and scored and also drove the ball down the field to set up a game winning field goal. try again man

  • @09msa That's right... Dallas backed off and went prevent, and Brady picked him apart.. He couldn't do shit while they were harassing him (just like today when Woodley was wreaking Havoc).. I know what I'm talking about, jackie, and I've watched more football than you could even imagine.. Your guy is good, but you Pats fans have him way overrated.. And the playbook is out there, now, on the guy (not to mention, the Pats defense is pathetic).. That team is going nowhere..

  • @roo7227 You still have to make the throws regardless of the prevent.. and he did.. and lets talk about Brady not the team who did look terrible today and had a terrible gameplan. Any QB would have struggled against PItt's pass rush not just brady. At the end of the day if u put brady or manning behind the same line in a big game ill take brady. Rodgers is great too but also has a great "team" right now.. You have to play well on both sides of the ball to win.

  • @09msa LOL... If I were you, I'd stay away from Manning comparisons, cause I think just about everybody but you realizes how great that guy is, considering he led that same, horrible Indy team to 10 wins last season.. And i watched Manning, closely, during his SB, and he never made any boneheaded throws, like the ones we've discussed, here, with Brady.. And Manning knows how to eat the ball, at least.. But I'm still taking Brees, Rodgers, and Roethilsberger over both of them..

  • And BTW, this is how well I know sports, jackie.. Just as I explained in my first post on this video, right before this play happened my brother asked me if Denver should blitz in this spot.. I said "Yes, cause this guy likes to throw it up for grabs when you get instant pressure on him, and you can get an INT"... Then my brother said "And you'll have blockers out front on the pick return".. Then the ball was snapped.. True story..

  • @roo7227 and also any pats fan would glorify a guy who has brought their team 3 rings when before we had none. The guy threw 50 tds in one season and went 336 passes without a pick. Im sorry thats not overrated thats greatness and dedication to one's craft.

  • @09msa But those were great teams... Brady wasn't any more important than any other part.. That's the difference.. Brady had one of the most well prepared defenses, ever, backing him up.. They haven't done shit since it became The Brady Show..

  • @roo7227 ok but you can say the same about peyton until his defense got better. Brady is the leader and thats simply the truth. And no QB can win with no defense. thats not his fault. I mean no offense but revis and ray lewis even said hes the best player in the game and even calls out the teams defense at the line of scrimmage. Revis said no QB does that and can make a defense look as dumb as Brady does on Sundays

  • Leave it to Pats fans to glorify the play that ended their season, like it was the immaculate reception, or something... lol.. What next, have a parade for the David Tyree catch, cause Jarvis Green almost had Eli Manning?.. Oh, and nice pass, Joe... err, Tom..

  • OK, let's be real, here.. There was less than a minute left in the 3rd quarter, and it was 10-6, Broncos.. What's the real story, here?.. It's obviously the absolutely asinine pass by Tom Brady, to a guy who is covered like a blanket by the best CB in the league.. This is a guy that every idiot in the universe compares to Joe Montana, but do u really think Montana just doesn't eat the ball, or throw it away, and take the 3?.. Tom Brady couldn't carry Montana's lunch..

  • @roo7227 Like Montana has never made asinine plays. You don't need to glorify Montana by disparaging Brady.

  • @Mikroskopic Let's see.. SB 38 he throws a INT in a situation where ANYTHING, even a sack, is better than an INT.. Does the same thing this game.. Then there's SB 42.. And then there's the 2 play off losses since.. I don't think comparing Brady to Montana is even fair.. Montana knew what he was doing..

  • benjaimn watson inspires me todAY

  • Champ Bailey : Touchdown

    Ben Watson: Not Today

    tackle

Champ Bailey: Thats not nice i was so close i could smell it then crys

  • to this day I'll believe Bailey fumbled out of the back of the end-zone

  • Even though Ben did not turn into a great tight end, he is one of my inspirations.

  • living in NYC, as much as ive been conditioned to hate bellichek, he seems like a cool guy in nfl films interviews

  • 84 hit him..the tight end ?!?!

    lol

  • bill belicheck is a bum benjamin watson picure should take up every body else's picture

  • Comment removed

  • Champ Bailey got hit by a full speed train... LOL

  • Comment removed

  • @miamihurrican69 That is what you call heart and hustle idiot, i am guessing you dont have the heart to go and hustle like Watson did on this play.

  • i watch this video everytime before i play football

    so inspired

  • I fucking hate the patriots so much. (Jets fan)

But I can definitely appreciate this. Awesome effort.

  • What a player!!! And what hustle!!

    Love this :)

  • I love the Broncos "It was 84" "The Tight End?"

  • I think they called it out at the one, if memory serves me correct. I know for sure the play was challenged

  • what this ruled a touchback does anyone know?

  • Fuck the Patriots but this is awesome

  • it sucks hes not a patriot no more but hes doing well GOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! BEN

  • I wonder what Champ Bailey was thinking the moment he got hit and how that changed as he was going out of bounds.

Champ right before he got hit: "This shit is going to be on SportsCenter"

Champ as he got hit: "What the fuck?!?"

Champ as he drifted out of bounds: "FUCK, this shit is going to be on SportsCenter.

  • @Mustang424 pretty much changed from "fuck yeah, this is going to be on sportscenter!" to "fuck, this is going to be on sportscenter!"

  • I just now remembered that both of these guys went to Georgia.......haha but they werent teammates so its not the same

  • if u look closey at 2:07 u see how baylee is beaten watson at a run, but starting at 2:11 he sorted of slow dwn and watson was able too catch him, Great job Ben Watson

  • hustle baby

  • One of my favorite plays of all time. I'm not even a Patriots fan.

  • Hell, if this happened today they will consider it illegal because NO football player other than him will run 100+ yards to light a guy up. Champ's concussed with a bad rep for the rest of his life!

  • @Mr90sdude A bad rep?.. For making the play that basically won the game, in the AFC Divisional Playoffs?.. Nice analysis, idiot..

  • @roo7227 Damn your life must be so boring because you took the time to scroll down and reply to a 3 month old comment. I'm talking about that damn play not the game.....IDIOT. You trolls make me laugh. You're not pissing me off at all

  • @Mr90sdude I'm talking about the play, too.. The one that pretty much ended the Pats season.. Champ Bailey ended the Pats season, you realize that, right?.. There's nothing for him to be ashamed of, no matter how many idiots, like you, think he should.. Pay attention to what really matters, dummy..

  • @roo7227 I do realize that he made a big play ending the Pats season. I'm happy for him for that, not hating on him what so ever. He is a great football player and have respect for him. I was talking about him failing to finish the play strong. As a football player, u are taught to finish a play strong no matter what happens (which Watson did instead). As a former football player I know that. Something you don't know about apparently. If you love him so bad kiss his ass then. DUMMY

  • @Mr90sdude LOL.. You go play 3 quarters, running up and down the field, and then try and return an INT 105 yards... Let's see how well you do.. We're all human, man, something you apparently don't know, or forgotten.. He made a great play that got his team to the AFC Championship.. Watson made a nice hustle play, but I'm sorry, Champ got the best of this one.. And BTW, I have nothing invested, I call em like I see em.. Not a fan of either team..

  • Chump Bailey never saw that coming.

  • I am a Broncos fan and I will say this.....way to go Watson....I love players who do stuff like this! Simply showing heart and determination! You are a stud Ben!

  • ben i love your you are my idol

  • champ bailey got smashed
