That was due to poor DVD sales of the show. They did re-release it in two box sets, but only in Japanese with English subtitles.

cept my copy goes like this

box one english dub, which is dec somewhat though most of the cast sounds like 4kids voice actors and swan sounds like a redneck

That sounds about right and yes the dub was done by voice actors who worked for 4kids, but not 4kids as a company.

well since bandai owns sunrise lets hope they do a better job of dubbing for gaogaigar's 20th

Currentily Bandai have given the rights of distribution to Media Busters, since Yuusha isen't 100% their creation (it's 50/50 with Takara-Tomy), that's why they can't distribute it under their own brand name, unless Takara-Tomy gives the go ahead and it's going to be a while before GaoGaiGar turns 20 and it depends if both the company and fans would like a dub to be done or not. Many may just prefer the Japanese version?!

from what I've seen from the fan sites of gaogaigar many fans would like a dub or at most a redub, personally I need to flip a coin

Well then perhaps it might be dubbed again sooner before 2017 if it has high fan demand.

It's more about fan demand and if Takara-Tomy and Sunrise see a profit from it, more so then this economic mountain out of a mole hill the 'higher powers' have dealt everyone! But i won't go into politics!
