im really into house music and live in the city where house music was born (chicago), and i dont hear this song getting played anywhere. When i worked at WCRX i had to fight to get this song played. i respect what you say but do not agree with what you say.
It has its own video, its obviously aimed at being a commercial success or why would they even bother. That sound was very popular in the charts around 2002. Wether it succeeded or not is unimportant, underground is not a measure of success or popularity its the intention in the first place. Underground has become a trendy & miss used label to ironically sell more.
Search for Linkwood - R.I.P. 500 copies & no video, music for music sake not to be the next big hit, that is ug house.
whoever says its not underground doesnt know the meaning of underground, this song never gets any radio play unless outside of the U.S. so that makes it underground house music. its not commercial. in the music industry you have commercial and underground music. this track like many house trax are labeled underground

not that bad, I've heard much worse...
but calling something "underground" (or whatever catch phrase won't necessarily make it so...)
sorry, there's nothing underground about this track, just more of that same run-of-the-mill late 90's-early 00's filtered house that cornballs, who listen to prograssive and/or trance, might like...
rhythm masters - beautiful alias for Steve Mac. this track is preety good but remix by Phunk Investigation is really awesome. also try ibiza soul or ghetto.
@mariodubbz got an idea get a decent drum machine a sampler and a shit load of filter effects and you can start bringing it back yourself, along with the thousands of other kids in this generation :D
got it on record in loft somewhere in a flight case with more classics used to hammer this on the 1210's lol good times !!!

Do you know how fail the lip-syncing is @ 1:58 XD
Daftendirektour 1 year ago
@Daftendirektour Fun fact. The woman lip-synching the vocals is actually the girl singing them. Her name is Diane Charlemagne.

@sketcha09 lol, i know, but i mean, the video is off time a lil to the vocals (:
btw, i have uploaded the rare original 12" mix of this song (no vocals??) on my channel, check it out.

Amen brother!!

Thats one way of looking at it, but to people who are really into house this would be considered a commercial house track.
I can see why it might rub some house heads up the wrong way.

Do you want a prize for that??
Who said it was underground, not me
It is just a track title not to be taken literary i'm sure
I don't even like progressive house or trance
so that pisses on your theory really
I just posted the video up for people to enjoy, it wasn't mean't to be some "how underground this record is" statement from me
I listen to Hardcore breaks, you won't get more underground than that right now
