Truth often hurts & following a course to right the wrongs is always the most difficult. The fact of the matter is this, party agenda has become the code of our representatives over their representation of our interests. Mr. Lieberman & Mr. McCain have stood against the tide of their parties. They see what has happened in Washington & feel if we don't reverse that trend we'll be in a very bad state. Look at the record of McCain, it defines integrity. Choppy seas require a seasoned captain.

It's funny watching a group of Republicans cheer on a guy who supports a larger form of government than even Obama has proposed. Just shows you how low this groups values have sunk. This guy supports taxing the hell out of Americans and spending money not only on wasteful welfare programs of the left within America, but also wasteful welfare programs of the right on countries outside of America. This guy is a total disgrace to fiscal responsibility and government management.

I got that too, I am conservative and love lieberman and fred, and I found that guy to sound really annoying, like he was drunk at the convention. Who let him do that so near the microphone? I am thinking he was a plant by the democrats to make the people at the RNC look like a bunch of inbred nascar fans or something...either way the republicans are dumb for letting that guy do that, I am sure we were not the only ones who were annoyed. great comment.

The only reason Lieberman is supporting McCain is because he gets big donations from Israel, hence his support for the war. If it was up ti him he would have the US bombing every Muslim country. I wish we could get rid of lobbying in politics.

but giving up his party to support mccain? there has to be something much mroe than that. lieberman opposes everything mccain stands for except war and global warming. you have to agree that there was something about mccain that attracted not only lieberman but a lot of independents towards him. i mean dems also have candidates in teh republican side like chuck hagel who is opposed to this war and dick lugar. but they never spoke at the DNC and thats the difference. thats why this is historic

Lieberman is Republican's favorite Democrat as he has consistantly supported the administration,ignoring his constituents. Much that McCain disagreed with Bush on, he has changed his mind about. He admits not knowing how to turn on a computer, or send a text. McCain is out of touch with reality, thinks middle class families are those who make less than $5M per year. Obama will lower taxes on 95% of the american people. John McCain may buy $300 shoes, but it is us who will pay for his flip-flops.

if you are worried that republicans had a dishonest democrat on the convention, they still had a democrat and that is bad news for the democrats. If chuck hagel spoke at the DNC, it is still bad for the republicans, but he didnt, so i think him coming on the DNC does weaken obama's arguement that he works across the aisle better than mccain and that is is main argument against bush, so i really dont see how he can tie bush with mccain.
