@MrNonzerogrunt It's a restoration of the Chinese-Western fusion created by the Shanghai jazz bands of the 1930s, which combined Chinese vocals/instrumentation with Western jazz. The goal of SRP is to revive that fusion in a modern day context, blending Chinese instrumentation with hip-hop, electronica, etc.

Hey, it ain't "girly!" I'm a guy and I've been listening to Shanghai Restoration Project for years! Love their stuff. I have so much, but I purchased it from iTunes. Really, don't steal the music. Just pay one dollar, for goodness sakes. Anyways, if you steal it, you'll accrue bad karma and each time you play a stolen song the bad karma gets worse. Karma is as real as gravity; a law of the universe. Pay a buck and be done with it. Good karma!
