interesting. all your bloopers were of you messing up speaking, but not a single one messing up the drumming. or did you make it seem like that on purpose :P
anyway thanks for the inspiration, seems like a useful groove.
@Dieterbe Oh, there are CERTAINLY plenty of drumming mistakes made in some of these videos :) Just figured the verbal bloopers were a bit more comedic!
@EliteOfTheRad dude yes! i know they wanna explain even to the earliest of beginers but christ it gets annoying with some guys takking ten minutes to explain r l l r l r r l, i mean cmon .
@Prodigy12345617 no...they aren't...Puh-Duh-Duhs are RLLRLLRLLRLL or LRRLRRLRRLRR. This is simply a paradiddle but starting at a different point than normal and moving the accent around. Normally the paradiddle would be RLRRLRLL but instead he is playing it LRRLRLLR. Still a paradiddle.
Thanks for this video, Mark. You have thought this instructional video out well and it is polished, articulate and instructive. Many of the "instructional" videos are cobbled together and are not guiding because of the lack of aforethought. Yours should set the bar for how to make an instructive, succinct and useful video.
Clearly, your teaching skills are on par with your drumming acumen. Consider me to be a new subscriber.
I really like this pattern. I tried it out at home and I got it down, playing it slowly. Then I sped it up and it works great! The pattern was fairly simple and it didn't take an incredibly long time to learn. Thanks so much!
uuh..dude? I thought an inversion is the same deal but mirrored as a paradiddle is to a ratamacue. Just kiddin. Cool man. Making some short vids myself with pointers on singles and double paradiddles applied to the set. later... Mark
Ahh Mark, you always seem to know just what to put up and when. I so look forward to all of your videos. Do you make these videos randomly when you have an idea or do you have a planned out course. Either way i am infatuated with your deep base of knowledge in the art of hitting different things with pieces of wood lol. Have a good one. Erich
I remember doing these! Lol everyone wants double bass on youtube, it seems like that's all there is. Awesome snare, never knew you had a Black Panther. Great video I'm digging all the new videos you're, doing really cool stuff!

Great video. Most youtube lesson video lessons have the teachers blabbering on for too long. you're short and to the point.

Hi Mark Could you post a lesson
covering basic drumset polyrhythm patterns playing 4's with feet and 3's with
hands. And a exercise method of achieving independant coordination.
This is my new goal as a drummer. Rock On ! ! ! T. Baker Keizer Oregon

Hi, my name's Terry. I'd like to think 2 weeks is a respectable period of time to
learn this video,coordination and accents.
Still a little slow though. (lol) ps Forrest B.
is my son and I appreciate your videos and tutoring Forrest as a drum mentor.
