You're right, croc. Haven't you people ever noticed that recurring theme for horror games, lately? Every story, or most of them, involve trying to replace God with some form of human-made deity. It happened in Dead Space with the artifact, it happened in Bioshock with the attempt to create paradise without God, and it happens with all those other horror games. There's never any hope; just you.
@Atheus I'm guessing it was a joke by the developers. It'd be hard to overlook that.
