I saw The Flirtations live at the Vancouver Folk Festival when I was a child, and they were just as amazing as they are on this recording. My father and I followed them around as they performed at various stages all day, so that we could keep hearing them sing, and at the end of the day we bought their cassette. This was always our favourite song. Dad sang it to me until I was a teen, and then to each of my children when they were born. I hope they sing it to their children, too.
This was one of the first cd's that I owned....back when compact discs were new, so that tells how long I've loved this song and The fabulous flirts. I came upon this while looking for their rendetion of "On Children". Apparently no one has uploaded that track to youtube yet. It is another amazing song for any parent or any child, regardless of sexuality. Sadly, several of those amazing voices have been sienced by AIDS. Work, hope & pray for a cure for AIDS and cancer.
A favorite of 3 generations in my family!! I hadnt heard it in ages (until 3 days ago), but the words & the tears came right back. When my mom & her wife came up 4 Xmas '08, 'Everything Possible' was on her new iPhone. After we quietly listened 2 it, I told my mom, "THAT'S how I always wished U felt about ME, & what I've always hoped u'd tell me- that, no matter what, u loved me." Sucks? Yes. BUT,@ least MY kids'll NEVER have 2 WISH I loved them. They KNOW I do!!
Bless you for posting this video. I was able to see them in person when they were in Kansas City, MO in the 90's and I never forgot this song. I have given the words to all my children, so they will always know that Everything is Possible.
thank you so much for posting this. This album was one of my faves when i was a little one, and growing up in a non-traditional family, it was wonderful to know that I didn't have to feel restricted by what other people say I can do. I can do anything. Recently, my dear brother got married and his biodad sang him this song at his wedding.
This is one of the most beautiful versions of this children's lullaby by Fred Small-the Flirts were one of the greatest a capella singing groups in their day!
My partner and I sang this to our song when he was very small (he's 13 now) and he still remembers the lyrics. This was the exact version that we sand to him. I miss these guys. May they rest in peace.

This is the first time I heard this song, and I was moved by it. If people treat others with love and understanding, they, too will give love back.

@charlesns Check with seattle mens chorus on Capitol Hill Seattle. They played there in the early 1991's and every concert SMC did was recorded.

Yes, you are right... I didn't know "The Flirtation" with TJ.
But they dedicated the CD and the concert in the early 90s to him.
I saw The Flirtation twice live in concert.
One time with Michael's great voice.
He passed away... cause he also lost the fight against aids.
They live on in their music... and in our thoughts.
All the best for you... and that your wishes will come truth... everything possible! ;-))
