  • She's hot

  • Never pull up on your own ankle like that, you'll ankle lock yourself. Nice referencing a book.

  • @19thaman79 you don't know what your talking about. Rowdy is the shiznit and knows her stuff; she would not foot lock herself...

  • @fdtehsbd I do know what I'm talking about and train with very reputable guys. Cranking your own ankle is NOT the way to secure a triangle.

  • @19thaman79 If you believe that securing a triangle via pulling in your foot equates to potentially ankle locking yourself, then you have no concept of ankle locks. In other words, if you happen to ankle lock yourself whilst applying/securing a triangle, then you have no business doing triangles the first place. perhaps I am misunderstanding your objection to this video...?

  • @19thaman79 Ronda is 4-0 in MMA competition and is fighting Strikeforce bantamweight champ Miesha Tate in March for the title. She's won all 7 of her fights - 3 amateur and 4 pro - in the 1st MINUTE of the 1st round via armbar. She trains with Gene LaBell, Manny Gamburyan, and Gerard Mousassi to name a few. But I'm sure you know a lot more about how to do submissions than she does.

  • @19thaman79 Regardless of my experience, pulling on your own ankle is a great way to snap it, any competent grapple should know that. I do know a little about grappling, I've wrestled on/off since I was a kid, I train judo under Joe Terchiano and train bjj under 2 of Joe D'arces black belts. Go back to watching the UFC on paper per view and pretend like you know whats going on.

  • @19thaman79 Lol you must have the weakest ankles in the world if you think they'll snap if you pull them.

And noone cares about who you think you've trained under, if you don't know what you're talking about, your credentials are void.

  • @rangedat Got to agree with you in some cases, I will pull my ankles in Judo or BJJ class when I catch someone bigger then me in Sankaku Jime or the triangle if your opponent has broad shoulders it does help control them and secure the triangle I have not yet been told not to do that so it it works for me.

  • @19thaman79 WHAT? I've never heard of anyone snapping their own ankle by pulling on it for leverage. Can you give one example of this happening?

  • @karausu Snap, break or sprain, I have personally injured myself by pulling on my own ankle.

  • @19thaman79

I know a guy who dislocated his ankle from doing that but guess what...he was/is a muppet white belt.

can u pls explain how shes supposed to tighten her triangle choke without grabbing her foot.

  • @djhc123 not suppose to grab the ankle, thats a modern day way of closing up a triangle, but a person who postures up hard will break your ankle, you flex your foot, and grab your shin instead, make sure you keep your head close to the top of her, and crunch, then lock it up.

  • much appreciated technique video, i've always tried hitting the inverted triangle from the top, by rotating my body away & sneaking my leg past the collarbone, but levering at the funny bone & opening the body looks far more efficient!

  • It might help to see if both are wearing contrasting colored gi's.
