  • You don't have to use Slurry stone on your Norton's.

Slurry stones usually used on Natural stones to make slurry by using small stones.

(there is another functions of slurry stones. lets say i have one video which i used different grit slurry stones and 1 fine stone make straight razor shave ready from scratch. you don't have to try this when you just start to learn how to hone)you will need Lap (flatten your nortons) approximately after honing 5-10 razors(depends how aggressive you are using Pr

  • I have a norton 220/1k 4k/8k set on its way with a flattening and slurry stone.

Can you tell me how often to use the flattening stone on it, with some explanation?

What what is the slurry stone for?

  • Do you recommend a specific grit for finishing? 12000? 16000? And a specific brand?

  • thank you

  • Great set of hones.

  • which one brown color one without top? or in wood box which has top box and you cannot see the stone?

1 st one is special stone only for good razors.

    brown color.

2 nd one is Escher in the box.

  • In the picture there is a hone in a wood box what kind is it?

  • Don't need to apologize, your English is perfectly understoodable, lol

  • Never apologise for not speaking English well. I can't speak your language, nor can I sharpen a cut throat. I have a lot to learn..

  • @ozdocoman i was just about to write a comment very similar to yours so im just gonna give you a thumbs up one year on

  • taping will save back of the blade (will hide hone wear)but eventually you will need to remove the tape. if you are honing your own blade i would recommend not to tape it.

  • Thanks for sharing this video. Good information.

Can you please explain the purpose of the electrical tape? Is it just to protect the side of the blade from getting scratched? Thanks again. And by the way your English is fine. I can understand you no prob :)
