@sniper14231 You might be able to get away with a single piece of glowstone in the exact center of the igloo, on the floor, if your igloo is big enough. Otherwise, the glowstone will melt the ice.

Your floor and lighting solutions are pretty innovative though (although you could have explained light levels to help people expand the project, not everyone knows minecraft mechanics perfectly), so kudos to you.

does ice really smelt when you have glowstone? (cant you put glowstone or torches under your glass floor? or just make a torch in the middle of your igloo so the melting doesnt reach your igloo?

@LeapingDodo Yes, glowstone melts ice. If you are extremely careful, you can place torches far enough away from the ice to prevent them from melting. Ice will melt if the light level on any side is 12. Torches have a light level of 14. To prevent the torch from melting the ice, I would place it at least 3-4 blocks away from any block of ice. Since the igloo is 11 blocks wide and 6 blocks tall, a torch directly in the center should not melt any ice. Just pray it doesn't glitch, lol.

@TheBlackBeltPanda glowstone is light level 11 right? at least less, so putting 1 glowstone block in the floor should prevent most of the blocks becoming spawnable, so if you place signs or something at the places it can spawn to create collision for spawning, or just using half slabs you could make it spawn proof, but i would need to see if my math is correct on the light level 11 and the spawnable light level at those Y coordinates. BUT I WILL GET A SAFE SNOW FLOOR IGLOO!!! ;-)

@LeapingDodo Yes, light does too, lol. You can place a torch in the center of the igloo and that should prevent mobs from spawning in anywhere. Glowstone has a light level of 15, so that should work as well =)

Mobs spawn in level 7 or less, so either a torch or glowstone in the center should light the entire igloo enough without melting the ice =)

Aren't ice blocks considered as transparent? Because if they do you can just place ice blocks on the floor because mobs won't spawn on transparent blocks.
