theres nothing to cover on her except for slight under eye darkness, and there isnt a medium-tan shade :( I bought this and i must say its a medium but buildable coverage. doesnt dry to a matte finish, its more like a natural looking finish. I have oily skin and i found it only lasts for abour 6-7 hours on my skin either with primer or not. it can make flaky skin stand out. I love the brush though! it absolutely creates a nice finish with no streaking and it doesnt absorb the product at all :)
I got a sample of this in sephora and I think that this is great for oily skin. My skin is oily and it dried it out a little, which was nice, but for dry skin I imagine that this would not work well. I'm still not sure if I want to purchase this yet. You can definitely tell that it has clay in it with it's texture, it's very interesting.
I just have to say that it's nice to see a makeup artist who isn't in her 20s and seems to know what she is talking about. If their skin is any indication of what this foundation can do, sign me up. I bought the brush at Sephora to use with Bare Essentials but I am ready to take the plunge with this foundation. I am very fair and have always been scared of liquids. After watching this, I am going to try the light. I have heard so many good things about this foundation. So excited to try it.
I know you showed before and after, but I wish you could show them side by side. I never would have thought to use a brush with liquid foundation. Thank you so much for this. :)
they need some practice on how to speak when they are trying to explain the methods and shades, why didn't they swatch all the shades? i still don't know how to find my shade, lol
@Pupperdogger Ooo, I just said the same thing! I agree. I guess I should read the comments first, well, at least the first page, before I comment. But, now that I'm thinking maybe if more people request this, they will do it. It was difficult to tell the differences. Thanks.
. . . neglected to mention that the giant brush + buff method doesn't work for everyone- it's really bad for dry skin- it'll emphasize lines and flakiness- I've got the original QVC exclusive in both light a medium, and it looks horrid if buffed in on my dry areas.
@27blysse I have dry skin as well, and I found it to be a bit drying, too...so do you just use a sponge or fingers instead of the brush? I was curious about trying a different application method. The brush feels amazing, it's very plush, but I did feel dry after using it.
@whatanightmare1 The best way I've found is using any non-latex sponge- run it under lukewarm water and squeeze out the excess, then pat the foundation as not to accentuate the dry skin patches. Also, using a primer definitely helps!
Can you tell me which primer works best for this foundation? I know that tarte has the clean slate and the one that has anti aging which I tried but that one seems to be more like just a moisturizer
I used powder foundation for years. Had issues w/ oil, breakouts, dry skin, peeling...until I switched to this foundation. My skin starting improving shortly after switching. It's perfect whether oily, dry, combination, normal, and/or acne prone. We wear our foundation all day. It effects our skin like skin care. A lot of foundations contain ingredients that are bad for the skin. This one is good for the skin. Im in love, and have to thank tarte for such a fantastic confidence boosting product.
If my shade is NC25 in MAC what shade should I get this foundation in? Thanks :)

Answer to primer question: you don't need a primer! It will just keep the amazonian clay from getting closer to your skin. This stuff is AMAZING.

I've found that the foundation gets slightly darker with wear (even with a primer) so if you're in between colors, go lighter.
